We check out a Guild Ball team introduced into the game in Season Two, the Hunter's Guild. A team that when mastered, can be terrifying on the pitch.

The Hunter’s Guild is one of the oldest Guilds but only recently returned to the sport of Guild Ball and whose motivations are not yet clear. They are also able to utilise fully their tools of the trade to set up traps on the field.
Plus they have a bear. Not a mascot but a full on teammate!

Its my favorite faction.
Well like I always do I have picked the tricky faction to start with, I loved the look of these guys so had to get them. I will be learning the game with the either the masons or the brewers first but then moving onto the hunters when I understand the game, but in the mean time I am painting up the hunters starting with Theron:-)
My team of choice too. I’ve been looking forward to this vid.
Not picked these up yet, need to get other teams finished and farmers are jumping the queue. Stunning models, new addition bring up thd footballing side.
Also worth checking out the 5 part background for Theron on the steamforged blog. Geeat story an aspect you could overlook for the system that is excellent.
If I could justify a fourth team it would be Hunters, they look great (already got plastic starter Brewers and Masons plus starting Fishermen now)

Most annoying guild to play against.
lol.. really? just because of Snared? I find most people have a tough time using the Hunters well and I don’t know that I’ve ever lost to them… (only out of about 6 games vs them though)…

I like the look of this guild never played against them …They look so cool …. I am going to end up owning at least half the factions the way this is going …… bugger

It actually looks like a bear, and a well cranky one at that!
I almost brought this faction a few times as a painting project but given the playstyle its probably just as well I didnt, it wouldnt have suited me at all
another very interesting guild, so far i like all the different play styles and that all the guild have their unique feel. And as ever, absolutly gorgeous sculpts and paint jobs on them.
A bear, ranged and traps.. awesome!
The bear and cat look great. Hope one of the new releases later this year is another animal.
this is the one I have been waiting for.
Really happy to see 4 new releases in Season 3 (including new captain and mascot and veteran hearne) as well as that wild striker guy… gives this team a lot of new options and makes their ‘meta game’ a lot better as they can now play the draft game vs the other teams finally!

I would like to try their play style and the models look great but something about them does not do it for me
The Hunters were my first Guild and I lost my first 8 games badly with them. As a new player it took quite a bite to understand their machanics and how they should be played. Here some tips for new player.
1: The Hunters have a powerful ranged game with their character plays. However those plays can quickly become influence sinks and they don’t generate you any momentum.
2: When consider your next team take a look at the players momentum playbook results. They will give you an insight to teams strengths and how they want to be played.
Oooo, i’m torn between the Masons and the Hunters just based off ‘ rule of cool ‘. Do i go for the team with a Bear and a Big Cat ? Or do i go for the team with a Mandrill and an Armadillo ? Or option 3, learn with the Masons and get the Hunters later ?
I was taking a look at this faction on the guildball store last night. As soon as I saw the new moon goddess captain and her wolf, I was sold 😀
Very good advice in the video. It’s easy to get distracted with the tricks and abilities and forget the goal of the game.
I love the look of this guild, both the models and the play style. I’m starting to find myself more drawn to more to a tricksy gameplay than a simple beatstick one.
Plus they habe a giant bear on the team, And with the winter’s moon box coming out they are going to get an awesome looking wolf mascot as well.
Hunters: I am guessing accurate, precise, great at passing play, limited but very powerful attacks/ knock downs

Definitely interested in the Hunters, especially the background. Young Theron’s story was very good on the Steamforged Blog.
This guild appears to be my favorite overall, even without actually playing them first. Time will tell.

These look like the faction for me
I like these, but I like their sub faction better. Saw some in a GYM I think.
I’ve never encountered the Hunters on the pitch, I think someone in my area plays them but I haven’t encountered them yet.
So far I’m thinking my starting guild would be Fishermen then these guys. I really love the models and once learning the game I think I would stick with them.
Does anyone else think these guys would fit in well with 4Grounds Fabled Realms? 🙂

Definitely one of the nicer looking and more interesting teams.
I need to get my hands on the mascot! Would love to paint it. Also think the hunters playstyle is my kind of thing. Now I need to figure out if it’s alchemists or hunters :/

I think this is my favourite guild so far … enigmatic and they have traps.
Different blends of hunter/ranger/trapper/scout with fighter/warrior/mercenary tend to be my choice of character background for RPGs. And here I might like the rough wilderness guys, too. Though I might favour the Moon people here.

Seenah the bear is definately my favorite model, the sculpt on that is superb and the paint job on it makes it look real, very impressive. Very interesting discussion explaining the difficulty behind this faction, great insight into this faction.

Havent seen this faction before.. The minis is clearly my favorits. Could be interessting to see how they play.
Hunter’s Guild, a very nice faction. Liking the “Trap`s” that they can use, and getting a Big Cat and a Bear. Now who would`t want a Cat and a Bear on there side, only someone who`s got a death wish.
These guys look awesome. I hope to see you demonstrate them on camera for us.
