Sold. Take my money 🙂
Had a demo team come into my flgs their display models are really nice
Huzzah for demo game! Also with my two favorite factions thus far, now I can see them in action 🙂
NOOOOooo stop showing me new toys that I have to buy!
CMON always present nice stuff.
I always like CMON’s style. I should just sign my paycheque over to them.
The different types of defenses is awesome! Makes for very intricate choices in combat.
figures look great in this game
Will need to pick up this starter set looks very cool .
Wrath of king very interesting troop building, deployment system. This game has my interest indeed.
I love how this modern tabletop battle games are sold in a nice two player starter sets.
The moment of truth, is the game any good?…
Answer… yes, yes it is. Really fun looking game guys. Good job!
More I see of this I am tempted to get into it . Waiting to see what the pig men are like. Good demo .
Love the Demo! 🙂
Really liking this game so far……
That there is a cracking game system 😀 . I love the different defence types based off the attack dice result. As far as starting the game goes, i am undecided, finding an opponent at my FLGC is likely to be difficult, for all the usual hobby reasons.
That was a great game. i really like the resilience mechanic.
I love that defence/damage mechanic, it’s awesome. The tactics really came through in this playthrough, would love to see a playthrough with some of the other factions being shown off. Tekness Vs Shael Han would be my shout.
could someone point me in the direction to find those cool Market Square Tables they have in the middle of the gaming table. I’ve been looking for something like those but haven’t had any luck in finding them…..
seems quite fast hmmm
Very cool. Seemed straightforward and very tactical. I love tactical games.
Amazing Prizes!
It’s a nice starter box.
Can’t wait to see what the future holds for WoK.
The combat system looks really interesting – things like the magic backlash add a lot of flavour. Add in great models, each with a distinct flavour and combos with other models, and it looks like a system where no game ever plays the same way twice.
Added to my wish list!
…..Nice fast System, and you did indeed had a awful, Not Pack tactial, moment there @dignity….
WOW BoW you people are starting to cost me way too much money! After watching this demo I am going to have to pick this up. Miniature wise I really like Goritis but I like the play style of Nasier so the 2 player starter set will be a win win.
I love the rank system and the starter box contents looks pretty amazing.
Very interesting game, what I like the most is that you only need a small gaming table and with a fairly low model count you can have a good game. Really like this one, solid combat and just get stuck in is the order of the day, I like it, a lot.
Looks like a great tactical game, from the models Im really interested in House Shael Han as love the look of the models.
Big fan of this rule set. It’s interesting that looking at the cards with no knowledge of the rules makes it appear super complex when the opposite is true. It’s pretty intuitive and deeper than it seems at first glance.
Have always been interested in this game, after seeing this i think i’m sold
Sweet. Rackham werewolves live on.
I am interested. Might be one to add to my collection.
Really awesome. I love the scale of the game, the nuance, and the flavor. If I had to make a call on these two factions, I would probably go with Nasier, but I’m really hoping that BoW has a preview game with two other factions planned this week. Would love to see the variety the other houses bring to the game.
First full play I’ve watched, the breaks between turns to explain the reasoning behind actions was great, don’t think I’ve seen anyone else doing that.
Love the demo games you guys put on. Keep up the good work
Starter box really good and like the system. The pile of unpainted figures set to grow ever bigger 🙂
Nice demo gents, some unlucky rolls there I thought for Justin could have swung it his way.
I’ll admit to being slightly confused by the resilience rule, maybe I’m thinking of it as an armour stat which I guess it isn’t. The rest seemed to flow smoothly , especially once you’re familiar with the defence chart & abilities that influence that.
Great Demo, has me digging out my rules – now I wait on Hadros, Deepman spear formations. If I read right, slow but very much the brick wall. And Sharkmen Gladiator units !
Such a fun game. Definitely look at this one closely, however don’t have anyone to play with, ahhh such a shame.
Skorza Shieldbreaker Dobby
Now I’m hooked, please show me the rest of the factions so I can decide which one(s) I’m going for!!!!
Great demo guys, as a Hadross player i would have liked the Goritsi to win.
Why do werewolves have normal human Resilience? Always known to be able to take a hit, seem a little too squishy. So, quantity over quality strikes in yet another game.
What did you use for the cobblestone? Tool drawer liner?
I like the miniatures. I’ve heard a lot about WoK for quite some time and I’ve like what I’ve seen. Good job guys.
Bad luck Justin. This game looks better than my expectations which were already high. Missed out on a demo game at Diceni last year. Both these factions look great. Amazing models. Prize winner or not this game just went on my 2017 list of projects.
The game mechanics look relatively simple, and quick. Think I would definitely get more troops to build up flexibility.
Very cool. Now even more interested than I was before!
O No! My two favorite houses. Will the winner decide where my money goes?
P.S. Love that table. 4ground for the win.
Thanks for that game guys, Goritsi all the way!
I think this was a good demonstration of how the game works. It looks to be nice and fast. I was kinda hoping that Justin would have pulled off his Skirmishers attacking the Ashmen and move over to attack the Nasier leader. Too bad the dice didn’t really want him to succeed.
That`s my next Project for sure, no way to avoid wolves and vampire girls 😉 Looking Forward for the next days and the vids to come.
Hate to say it, but I think I am going to have to get this game. Makes my wallet lighter anyway.
Justin, I was with you all the way, go the underdog (pun intended) 🙂
Really enjoyed that, can definitely see myself getting into this game. Hopefully we’ll have a chance to see more battle reports this week with some other factions!
Combat system very unique, loving the content on this game. Will have to try a demo game of this myself.
What would be the best sets and books to get started with two players?
CMON, please leave my wallet alone. This could be described as an abusive relationship.
I got in on this when it was a KS. So glad I did. Great game!
Love your demo games. Keep them coming!!
I have Shael Han, but I would love a 2 player Starter to do demos with
There’s so many interesting gameplay mechanics. I really dig the dynamics of the game. Thanks for the play through. Hopr to see many more 🙂
Thats some unlucky dice rolling mate
The mechanics of the game look good.
I am totally sold on the game. I love the combat system with the variable defense charts. It really adds some flavor to the game!
Between this and Dark Age I’m fully sold on this company. Now, if they could just start selling stuff in the UK/supply their UK stockists, I’d be very happy!
Both houses no wait……all of them !
I would really like to try this as the minis look awesome, and the system sounds fun
That was awesome. The rules themselves seem fairly straightforward, but that simplicity allows for deep tactical play. I have read through the rules before, but seeing it played really illustrates how the system works.
Wasn’t sure about the defense table thing but after watching how it plays I’m sold.
Awesome models, sleek gameplay and interesting lore, that’s the trifecta in my book
Aaah, the demo game. Which means one thing : go #TeamJustin !
Pretty Cool stuff. I can see the potential for my enjoyment
It was the mechanics that first drew me to the game, then the minis sealed the deal.
Go Nasier !! Go !!
Really interesting looking game. Had half an eye on it for a while now, so this week could be the final push that I needed!
Like the motivations, they really make the difference. Also liked the limit on activation (changes up how to pick a horde army)
great game
Looks like fun and I love the style. The 2 player starter would definitely hit the spot.
The rank system for building your army is what I really like. You can make your army rather easy if you know what your rank limits are, unlike some games that use points that can drag the army building out longer than it should.
a demo so good i watched it twice, well in honesty i fell asleep cuddling a Jack Russell the first time, nothing negative on the game im just old and sleep a lot.
loving the deployment and card mechanics very interesting/
Really interesting game
Interesting. The combat system when I read it seemed kind of odd, but it seems to play well on the table. I’m going to have to look up some more battle reports on this one.
Hey Justin what was the point of sending not trained Woulf over there ……or is it just the dice gods ??? 😉
it was a really nice Demo game i love the tactics that you can do and each faction can play differently i also love that , now i want more demo so i can see how the Pig man can fight (cause i love the look a those pig guy) but i like how the Nasier can manadge those dice ,
great game guy i love it
Looks interesting. Haven’t seen many people playing this though..
Enjoyed the play through immensely.. not sure on which faction is grabbing my attention though as a Space Wolves player I do have a soft spot for wolves
It is important to note that the Ranks trade up and down. So a Rank 2 is worth 2x Rank 1 of the same unit type (leader, Specialist, Infantry).
This two ^player battle box is a great addition to the range. It was lacking during the KS and seeing now is good news for the future of the game 🙂
Also important to note that ANY leader can call out a combined activation to any group of Infantry in your force. Only models that share the same key word can combine activate together. So the key word on the Leader is only important if you want them to be part of the combined activation. A Skroza Alpha can call out a combined activation to Zeti Wardancers as the example that was given.
Otherwise this game would be way harder to play if you had to have the Leader for every troop type on the board.
Make my models great again! 😀
Goritisi played timid is a bit fragile.
When I last read the rules I thought a leader could only activate one group as its activation for the turn. This changes things. Great video.
Great with the alternating activations and “one last move” mechanic.
It just happens to play beautifully and elegantly doesnt it? Can you not give me one flaw so I can delay purchasing those gorgeous miniatures
Some really cool mechanics. If a demo game makes it to my FLGS then I will check it out some more.
Game looks great, can’t wait to get into it!
Yes, bring on the pain!
I love that ruined area on top of the hillside, it adds some much more depth to the town below and the table as whole. Always an awesome terrain setup from BoW!
Nice game system. It goes fast with cool extras.
Great game, very tactical and easy to learn, but have to master your skills.
I have some of these models but haven’t had a chance to play, thanks for posting the videos!
the aesthetics of this game are a match or more to many other succesful games out there, cant wait to play it, thanks for the induction!
This is a great game, buy it people get playing this……….
Big fan of the dice mechanic in this one.
This game looks pretty great… I believe I’ll need to check it out… 🙂
I own the Hadross models! I don’t understand how anyone can make such gorgeous models and have so few mold lines. Whatever they’re doing at CMON is either the future or they are using the dark arts. Either way I love it. The game is pretty fun and tactical too.
I hope i will win the Super bundle!
As a kickstarter backer I have a ton of these to paint up. Cool game, great minis!
Cool game, awesome sculpts
Simple but deep rules 😉
nice ruleset – should give it a try.
The game looks very dynamic. Those movement tactics work well.
It was a bit confusing to understand why a certain action was successful or not. Maybe a closer look at the cards and special rules might help.
Wow! This game has amazing feel to it, Loved watching it, to be honest I would charge head first into the crowd if I had a pack of werewolves to command
Ok, gotta say this game is looking great. I love the design of everything, how adaptable and flexible game play is, and how combat actually feels reactionary. The way all the models can effect each other and the battle field is just awesome. Can’t wait to see more of this game.
Great intro to the game thanks guys
Very interesting. My curiosity is definitely piqued now. Maybe I can get my main opponent to split the two player box with me…. 🙂
The Nasier for me and the Goritsi for him.
These miniatures are beautiful! I haven’t seen Werewolves this fantastic since the days of Confrontation (the early days).
I’ll be interested to see if these models hold up in person
Definitely highlights a few of the bits I missed this may need a second visit 🙂
Dude those dice hate you, but I do love the defense mechanic to this game.
I love all the models in the two player box! Great variety and a great way to start the hobby.
So many amazing games out there, and so many gorgeous models, it’s almost criminal that there aren’t enough hours in the day to play them all…but that doesn’t seem to stop me from buying them!
I am going to look through the demo one more time but so far I’d rather eat chocolate.
Sweet board, great looking game too
Not typically a game I would look into but after watching the demo I’m thinking I’ll be looking into this a lot more. Looked like a really fun and cool game.
Great Minis. I love the Demo game videos you guys produce. Keep up the good work!
Very nice starter box, I was so impressed all the minis on the board are in it
Looks like a very fun game too, i love the addition of motivation as it makes each game that little bit different
this is what I’ve been looking forward to. it’s a nice system with some interesting ways of balancing the game and organising your force. it hits a nice balance rules wise between the synergy heavy warmachine and hordes and the streamlined age of sigmar.
it will be interesting to see how wrath of kings fairs against these two over the coming year
as well as probably rune wars and mythic battles. let battle commence.
Great game, lads- unfortunately I haven’t had chance to play WOK in a while but after watching this video I really need to break out my Shael-Han and Hadross again!
…Oh, and I know this was filmed ages ago but I hope to see Brian’s Hadross versus Dave’s Nasier in another game- seeing as how they brought their own personal armies and all!…
What a table! The game looks very quick-paced too, without loosing anything on the depth.
This game certainly showed how important order of activation is for models.
rules and cards printed I will play some games and give it a go, looks tempting to invest in it.
there are some nice game mechanics in this. magic backlash, parry very nifty
I loved this demo game, can you do another with other factions? Maybe Teknes vs Hadross. The playstyles are so unique to the factions that its nice to see them played in the flesh so to speak.
Looks like a really good mechanic. Really liking the look of this, cheers guys
I really like the motivations. So many games end up as wars of attrition. The only thing about this game that gives me pause are the sculpts if the females. I have little ones at home and the females are a bit too scantily clad for my 7 year old daughter.
The power of the 4Ground fantasy kits. You can use them for nearly every fantasy game! 🙂
Aww – a real shame! I was hoping Justin’s gamble would pay off!!
Hey guys,
Loved the battle and t the game system. I was intrigued by the no point system, but it seems to work very well based on the ranks system and evening out the forces that way. The moral systems seems to work well and gives the game a nice feel as there is not a predetermined turn on which you end. I can see this might be a problem in tournaments were time considerations must be thought off, but for friendly games, I love it. Keep up the good work.
Nooooooooooooo not another game to buy must have I love the look of these one I will be adding these to the collection
Nice to see that table getting some more air time, and it really suits the minis. As for the game itself it looks fun but I’m still somewhat confused as to how it works. I think I’ll have to pick up a copy of the rulebook or maybe find a simpler tutorial for slower minds 🙂
Rules are free on the site, pull down the PDF and have at it. It’s pretty strait forward once you play a few times. My 9 year old wrecks me constantly…
Scourge hound AoE attack is pretty brutal, fantastic for taking down clusters (or lines..) of soldiers. Just her base area would have to hit any part of the surrounding models. Fun part — any parry against her from the ashmen wouldn’t have happened do to her finishing her move out of their 1″ range (except for maybe the last one in the line). If it goes off well, it’s a real kick in the teeth.
My dreams of a Castlevania based faction are realised
good game
Fun game. Justin’s luck was terrible.
loved seeing the battle of the Long Horn take on the great Axe, have not got to see to big guys in this game take each other on
Could I try and win something please
great mechanics
Nice table, but a shame the cliffs didnt really feature.
I am sold to this game it is so much more than I expected !
I have actually played a demo of this game myself.
The game looks very fun. I really like the models and factions.
Good demo game. I like the different types of miss mechanic with different results for magical, dodge, party, etc. I also really liked how you flashed up a close up of the unit and card on turn one as they were activated; it made it much clearer which unit you were talking about and what they were.
I like how this looks. I’ll watch a few more of these videos to see if you totally convince me
Don’t do that to me! Now I need to buy more stuff again. And I just now somebody who won’t like it…
Enjoyed the demo game, but would like see a game with larger forces
loving these weekly themes hope to see some more content like this and learn more about the many games i can put my dollars in on!
Wow that mechanic looks great! Not much solid batrep info on this game, well done I think I’m sold!
Great game!
Looking, fresh.
I really didn’t want to like this game as I’ve got so much on the go right now but damn it’s really hard not to want to start playing!
A fun game to watch, interesting mechanic on morale points, and combined or not activation, no unit or squad coherency and if you like rank 2 minis you can just play with those only, great to hear it!!
Nice game, nice rules, beautiful models!
It was amazing how fast that game played. The mechanics were great. I am disappointed that I missed the Kickstarter and I will have to pick this one up.
very quick and interesting game. And the starter has the two best factions
Great game system and its loads of fun. I have yet to pick up the 2-player starter but I do like what you get in the box. It was a great game to watch
looks fun
Great little demo game guy`s, and nicely painted mini`s. I like the defence/damage mechanic of the game, and having alternative unit activation`s is the best thing to come into games.
Justin, i may not be the only one, but you most differently need to get your dice to tow the line. So before each game show them who`s boss, and what happens when they fail your commands.
How about a return match, and let us know the results.
I’m glad to see that these are the two starter factions as they are the ones that interest me most.
Close call hopefully it went better in the rematch as the dice gods were not favorable in the first patrol game
Demoes are good but I’d love to see a full on battle with the creators or someone where they tear strips out of each other!
I do really like that defense mechanic. I’m intrigued by how few models had died before the game was over too.
It looks a fascinating game. The different attacks and defences really distinguish the troop types, more than a simple power vs dodge/armour test.
Plays really well from the looks of it.
Really turned around on this game. Will definitely be getting involved at some point!
Great bat rep
A great Demo game. Maybe you should have ran your scorgehound towards the ashmen line, then with your activation jumped the line landing beside the ashman leader. This would have allowed you two dice against each of the two ashmen and two dice against the leader. This would have left your axebreaker to fend for himself.
That looks like a very elegant game indeed!
That like like a fun game.
bad rolls aside.. i think the werewolfs have some very cool options
Maybe I’m understanding this wrong, but I think a couple things went wrong..I went back and read through my kickstarter pdf of the rulebook and the Stand Your Ground motivation reads as follows:
“if a friendly model began its activation engaged with an enemy Leader or Specialist, it may forfeit its maneuver to gain a marker. If a marked model is attacked by an enemy Leader or Specialist and not killed, your opponent loses 1 morale. At the end of any round, if a marked Infantry model is in contact with an enemy Leader or Specialist, your opponent loses 1 morale and the marker is removed.”
Also, by the pdf (pg 4), the definition given for “engaged” is “if a model is in contact with one or more enemy models…”
If I’m understanding all of this correctly, then Dave used Stand Your Ground wrong, as his Ashmen never actually engaged your Skorza Alpha. And the Skorza Skirmishers are listed as Infantry (albeit big Infantry). They also didn’t gain their markers properly, since they gain them by forfeiting the maneuver half of their activation, not through an interact action.
Maybe the motivation changed wording/usage in the printed version? Can anyone clear this up for me? Because if I’m right, it sounds like @dignity is owed a rematch.
