I start collecting Goritsi house because the Skorza are simply magnificent!
But today, after painting some off all three types, Ravenscar are also excelent models and Zeta vampires are so gorgeus!
Well – that settles it, they are definitely my kinda faction with fantastic looking mini’s… This may well be a next project for me…..
This is funny I just commented on the first video saying I couldn’t wait for faction stuff and as soon as the page refreshed this video popped up. Ha ha.
I am with Justin here these guys are cool
Has anyone ever played Shining force on Sega Genesis? The wolfmen remind me of Xylo from that game, who was a total BA.
I like the fact that the minis are near perfect copies of the concept art
I used to be a werewolf but I’m alright no-o-o-O-O-O-OW!
I have these guys from the KS and they literally painted themselves. Such a detailed and dynamic bunch of sculpts!
I found the same for the Shael Han too, they’re really well designed for easy painting.
Really love these mini’s I actually feel that the more cartoony exaggerated style of many of the characters actually helps introduce them to newer players, plus I think it’s fun to paint something a bit different sometimes. So many people I know love the concept artwork with these but don’t know where to get them or where to play them, stock levels within the U.K. also seem to be pretty low so if you do find them they are expensive.
I’m just really hoping this week will help give more support to this game as it’s crying out for more players and I personally don’t know anyone else with an army sad really, although this week has encouraged me to paint up what mini’s I do have from the kickstarter as I might actually get to play with them now lol.
Vampires, Werewolves & Badass Normal Mercenaries Oh My 😀
Good Grief those minis look gorgeous.
Really liking the double-bladed swords.
The concept of The Gift sounds real interesting especially the social impact of the changes.
Honour? from mercenaries? HA! mercs care not for such things their only concerns are survival and getting paid ;D
The Blood Engen looks like an utter beast, in multiple senses of the word 🙂
Lord Hob, walking talking incarnation of the phrase “Walk Softly And Cary A Big Stick” but with more of the latter and much less of the former.
Onward! 😀
This one or the mask one???
Hard decision. But made easier by the fact there both in the starter box. Need to look at the price.
I am all about this faction. There is a grand lack of werewolf-style models out there that really show the grace and power but these smash it uuuuup.
And then vampires as well?!?! Holy butts.
Look up Rackham miniatures’ “Wolven of Yllia” and the “Devoureres of Vile-Tis”. The company went bust a few years ago but there models are still available on ebay. You’ll find them to be of a very familiar aesthetic and in some cases even more impressive.
I’ve had a google and good lord some of those are a treat for the eyes, especially the more feminine models.
Who doesn’t like big frikkin’ werewolves and vampire chicks?
Would be nice some Skorza werewolf to my rackham wolven.
I have played against Goritsi with Nasier and they seem to have a hard time with the Samurai Ninjas
Kickstartered this, really like my Hadros. My main foe is Goritsi and their mobility and leadership is insane.
The miniatures are just gorgeous. I might just pick up the starter set just for these.
Theme and sculps look amazing. And full of character
Goritsi looks like the faction for me: large werewolf figures (I find large figures easier to paint well), vampires in purple with potential wardrobe malfunctions during their “dance” and mercs that sound like they can do something other than be fodder (cough…cough..Warmahordes…cough).
Really liking this faction, it has a nice supernatural vibe. If I decide to commit to this game it will be this set or the Shael Han or both.
I always had a soft spot for werewolves and vampires and being able to field them together, sounds very good. And the models look awesome.
I think Justin summed it up pretty well, vampires and werewolves, what more could you want, although I will keep an eye on the other factions as well.
I always dug the take that WoK has on Werewolves and Vampires.
Their werewolves are amazing, I really want some models to paint them!
Went with this faction and even though gaming time is zero is top of list when I get back into it.
Goritsi are cool, but Nasier are where it’s at.
Cool that it’s vampires and werewolves instead of versus. That trope was getting a little worn out.
This is my favorite faction
Awesome paint jobs. Love the wolves
Justin once again your game knowledge is uncanny..how do you soak up all the rules so quickly, every game you review, you out class the others with your rules Knowledge…and no i am not ass kissing to win a prize..okay maybe a little…okay a lot!!..haha. But love the look of this game, love werewolves think this might be a game for me.The sculpts look just class.
More background – love the Fluff for the setting, really enjoyed the story in the first book, and looking forward to the second. More into Hadros, but those Ravenscar models as lovely.
love the look of these
but bring on the pig men
Some great looking minis in this faction. Can’t go wrong with werewolves!
I enjoy all the factions, but give me Teknes. Great video guys.
So glad to see giant wolf monsters on a tabletop again!
My favourite faction is the Goritsi. Gotta love the blood engine.
The wardancers with their medieval hats are fun, but I actually like the human mercenaries best. I might be tempted just to play a plain human force. If that’s allowed in this game.
This faction seems to combine elegance with brute force. Oh and a crossbow.
Furry and Bitey people
well that is my juices flowing great minis and way out in front as my favourites
These are brilliant (the whole lot not just werewolves). I’ve not been into gaming for long but I need to get a second income if I’m going to carry on looking at things like this
Lord Hobb sounds Badass!
I’m loving those werewolf models. Reminds me of the Rackham faction from a while back.
Your talking about the Wolfin and yes they really do have that vibe about them. That’s one of the reasons I like this faction BTW.
They actually use the same concept artist, it’s no coincidence!
This is my faction. Love the whole werewolf and vampire thing.
This faction is wonderful. I just can’t stop using the Alpha as my army commander. Can’t wait for the new Zeti unit to be released.
I think this is the faction for me. The mercenaries might just be my favorite sculpt of Wrath of Kings. I also like the idea of a vampire and werewolf force. Plus, if I remember correctly, Goristi is a fast, high damage dealing faction which suits my typical play style.
Awesome models
This faction looks fantastic, it’s a popular choice for sure. Looking forward to seeing reviews on the other factions as well. All great models.
Cool theme. I really like it. Especially those mercs
Will we be getting an Irene Goritsi figure? I know the KS exclusive version isn’t going to be a retail release but another sculpt maybe?
As a child, I wanted to be a werewolf. I still wouldn’t mind.
Those are some very nice models! I do tened to go undead or werewolf when I start a fantasy faction. This would let me do both.
The classic high fantasy isn’t my thing so much, but the blood engine and those mercenaries are great minis.
Totally need to get into gortisi i love there designs
Interesting faction but I want to see the rest before I commit to my favourite. Pigment and Sharkmen can’t be ignored after all.
Pigmen not pigment obviously.
As much as I like the werewolf aesthetic not really appealing to me. Question from a background perspective with the queen missing does this meant background wise they are vulnerable. Never quite understood how powerful the Kings children were/are meant to be.
The queen is not a child of the Ancient King, the king of Goritsi was a son of the Ancient King.
And in the first book it doesn’t mention how powerful they are only that they lived for a long time, but in the present i think at least 2 of them are dead (the Goritisi one defintevely and i think Teknes and Shael Han ones are also dead), so like their father they can die.
Come on, who doesn’t love werewolves and vampires.
Lovely models and def a possibility for me
Love the wolves… one of my favorite armies of all time was the Wolfen for Confrontation and these of course are the long lost cousins… they models go together so well and the poses and variety that you get even with just the faction start box are amazing!
Got to say, love Goritsi. Hands down you can not play this game with out thinking of just trying this faction. Why? The Werewolves and Vampire’s of course!
Very cool faction concept, I foresee this one being really popular.
Comment to win!
Werewolves look absolutely stunning, but I’m going to reserve judgement until I see the other factions. Leaning towards Hadross at the moment.
Werewolves & vampires? Sold!
*ROAR*
Looks very interesting, I always liked the Rakham wolves and I like the added Vampires too
It’s a nice video, looking forward to more
Tempted again, those wolves are definitely worth looking out for!
this faction looks great definately one I get into
Definitely my favorite so far! But as it’s the only one so far… Go on … Change my mind!
I’ll be picking up some of these models, absolutely.
super looking minis! really love the idea of playing as the dark supernatural monsters too but also very much looking forward to checking out the other factions. #pigmen♡
Such a fantastic bunch of minis, really dynamic and the models are easy to assemble and paint. I have played House Goritsi for about a year now and love them. I went all in with the starter box, specialist box, character box and blood engine. Really like how they play in game, I still need to add some Ravenscar to my army.
Definitely the faction for me. The models are awesome, the fluff works too – they actually tried to think about how a society like this may work (without all the regular people becoming lunch)
I am really excited for this game. It’s so different and original. I naturally gravitate towards the Goritsi Werewolves but I have made it a point to do a different faction. I always do the ‘wolf’ faction so this time I will wait till the end of the week to choose a different theme. I wonder watch faction the panda is in?
The pand is Shael Han, it’s part of the Celestial Host box:
“This boxed set contains the Infantry component of the Celestial forces, and includes a Rank 1 Leader (the Avatar of the Monkey) and two each of the other Rank 2 Infantry models (Avatars of the Elephant, Bear, and Snake). ”
You can see pictures of the actual models here : http://wrathofkings.com/ks/ if you scroll down to march releases.
I am really keen on this world and the models. Heard great things about the rules. I really like Mercenaries in any and game. I read the book and really like how the Ravenscar are the big bad that come in and kill everyone the can. Two thumbs up.
Lovely looking faction. Normally I’d go for vamps but this time I love those wolves.
I may be the one and only one that feels this way, but, THANK YOU for not putting terrain in the way of discussing the mini’s. I felt that the terrain was a distraction during Mage Knight week. Love this video. Thank you!
I really like those werwolves they do remind me of the wolves from Rackham, great models.
Opened with the best one! Good call. I was instantly disappointed to know that the son of the king for this faction had died. So sad. Gone before I even knew I loved him.
Wow do I love that shield breaker!
Can’t wait to hear about the fish faction
My buddy chose Goritsi for his KS pledge, and the more I see the painted up models, the more it makes me want to get them as well..decisions decisions…
I like the background and those figures are amazing.
They look good all painted up. And so much like old Rackham minis, much more then the other lines I feel.
The game universe isn’t grabbing me yet but the Goriest models are almost enough for me to buy and put on display. Can’t wait to see the game play.
I really like house Goritsi.
House Goritsi and Lord Hob for the win
Those werewolves look damn fine. I like them lots, but I want to see the Panda Warrior
I have a Skirmish level force of Goritsi- and as has been said they are fantastic minis- but I just don’t have the finesse to get the best out of them on the tabletop!
Also, Brian’s little Dark Age Freudian slip near the end of the vid made me chuckle!..
Without a doubt these are the best faction I have seen, among them, I really like the werewolf models. However, I really do like vampire models though those fangs though ha ha ha
My first faction, I even got one of the resin Dancing Masters back before the game was released, but I suspect Shael Han will be my ultimate faction of choice. Though first I need to get 2 lists assembled and convince someone else to play the game!
I love the Rakham influence of theses guys, I have some but not a lot as my favourite faction is Shael Han! Can’t wait for that video.
Both Vampires and Werewolves are turn offs from me, but the gutsy mercenaries are badasses.
Great looking miniatures
Werewolves and vampires, whats not to love.
Cool to see those Rackham’s Confrontation Wolfen get another life … 😉
am I looking at rakham models?
ok these are some damn fine lookin puppies. I will happily feed them whatever enemies they wish to eat 😀
It’s always been a toss up for me between Goristi, Nasier and Hadross. I’ve still not been able to decide between the three of them. I’m hoping this week will help to catapult one ahead of the others, but I’m starting to think it’ll just be collect all three :).
I would say go Hadross, but that is just because they are my favorite faction.
If you get the 2 player starter box you will have both Nasier and Goritsi, so you can test their play stile and get a buddy play the ones you don’t want.
It’s cool to see the Rackham werewolves come back to the tabletop. Always been my favourite werewolves models, right next to Infinity’s Dog Soldiers.
Vampire and Werewolf what not to like they look great and seems pretty nasty on a fight i kind a like them now , and the paint job on them is awsome if only i could paint like that
Started with the house I was most interested in learning about. love the models, very interested in learning more about this game.
Loving the Skorza, great looking models and a real monster feel to their rules!
They look fantastic.
The minis look great. I love vampires. But i am holding out until I see more factions.
“Comment to win” – My favourite phrase on BoW.
An all werewolf force is really appealing. Raw savagery combined with speed, combined with great looking minis. Mercenaries also seem cool and would be suitable complement with some ranged attacks.
I said before watching any of these videos that if I were to invest in this game I would be taking either Goritsi or Hadross. This info confirms a lot for me. Can’t wait to see what the Hadross video has to say.
The blades on these wolves are awesome!
I think the Skorza have it going on in this faction (( I speak out of just what I have known, no actual knowledge XD)). With wolves being able to bash, shove, jump, and just generally destroy, it’s kind of hard to not be impressed with them. I personally think that if they were to add a 4th “Group” in the force, it should be Gargoyles. It would maintain the same Gothic style and the people that get the Gift are those who are generally stony and cold people while still having that kind of protective nature of a sort. Kind of like “I don’t like you as a person or what you do, but no harm shall come to you.” I don’t know though, it sounds neat in my head.
Love the paintjob on those wolves. I actually picked up a few for use in a different game and I was surprised by the quality – enough to warrant being interested in the game. If only my airbrush skills could do them justice 😀
Goritsi are my faction, they are fantastic models and great to paint
I was most excited to hear about this faction, and it did not disappoint. The models are great and the rules sound like they have some fun options. I am going to have to pick up some of these.
At first I was sort of turned away by the Werewolf part of the Goritsi. I initially felt like it was an overplayed genre, but then I guess through this video I had a turn around in my perception. These do seem like really cool minis, and not so much a direct rehashing of the Wulfen army from Ragnarok.
have ti say the figures look really cool may have to see if i talk some friends into it
This faction takes the cake for me.
Them models are too fine.
The blood engine truly stands out to me. It really is a cracking looking mini. Really want to attempt to paint one.
Not really fan of the vampire kind
I like the look of the Goritsi shield basker the best out of all
I was sold at werewolves 🙂 Even if I didn’t like the rules I would use them in my KoW Army. But the rules are looking pretty good. The mercs look nice as well.
nicest looking faction 😉
Bloody Hell !!!! House Goritsi is amazing !!!
Just as much as Warren wanted to reenact the movie Red Dawn, I want to get this and re-enact Underworld Rise of the Lycans!
Those werewolves are beautiful. I need to get some to paint.
Vampires and werewolves? Sold!
Love the werewolves and the mecenaries, I am not really keen on the vampires or that grotesque “blood engine” . If I had to field this faction it would be all wolf and mercenaries.
It’s like a Castlevania army. 😀
The werewolves look great. Good stuff.
Vampires & werewolves, what’s not to like!!!
Just ordered the starter box set…. I’m very impressed with the miniatures, the story line and gameplay. It steps into a very unique fantasy setting…..
This is the faction that’s really caught my eye and drew me to Wrath of Kings even before this weekly spotlight.
I absolutely love the look of the minis for this faction. I regret not getting in on the Kickstarter 🙁
Goritsi all the way, werewolves and vampires nothing more to say.
I’m with you Justin, that’s the faction for me! massive werewolf with even more massive axe… I’d probably go for a TMM paintjob tho, give it a grittier look
Goritsi all the way. Shael Han has nice models but Goritsi better suits my need 🙂
Bought some Hadross for my wife to paint a while ago. Been dying to actually try and play one day soon if we grab another faction (or the 2 player Starter).
Saw the werewolves, went “meh” (not werewolves again), then I saw everything else and went “WOW” (love the Blood Engine).
Got a mate who loves Werewolves, so his would be his faction
This faction reminds me of another game
Great looking models
I sooooo want to paint that Blood Engine!
Got to agree with Justin, loving the Werewolves and vampires. This probably would be my faction.
This is honestly the first time Justin and I share our favourite faction in this system. All of Goritsi is incredibly cool, and are a perfect excuse to develop painting skin tones
When a friend and I were looking into getting a faction to try this game out the Goritsi with their vampires and werewolves were an easy decision for me. They have some great looking models for their second book as well.
I loved warpwolves and skinwalkers when I was playing Circle Orboros, and I’m liking the fact that werewolves are line infantry for Goritsi. I’m gonna have to give these guys a closer look.
Love the werewolves, such a unique design with the weapons and all. Usually not into vampires, but these have definitely stuck with me. They really have a over the top baroque feel to them.
Love the werewolf aspect of the faction
My daughter’s faction. But really how can you not like the Werewolves.
Amazing paint jobs, selling me on the lore and the minis! Werewolves and Vampires? Cats and dogs living together!? Mass hysteria!
Who needs Rackham
Amazing introduction, this werewolves looks soooooo cool 🙂
Reminds me of my old Confrontation Wolfen… 🙂
I’m not huge on the gender divide thing but I like the two species interaction and internal discord with the mortal nobility angle.
This is the best army I seen so far.
The Skorza models in the two player starter converted me over to the side of Goritsi. My main faction will always be Nasier, but will definitely getting more Skorza to be their antagonists.
The werewolves look amazing and they sound like they’d play great on the table top.
I think Goritsi will be my choice!
Bring on the Domani and their Thralls and the Whitemane Duellist!
Skorza are the troop of choice, intimidating large infantry to worry any opponent 😉
Loving Goritsi, have used some of the basic Dancers so far, but yet to really break out the big guns
Yep done Werewolves it is then…. guess I need to convice the minister of war and finance why I need these…..
First faction seen, and i`m in love. Still other factions to see, so you never know one of them may have me drooling.
The Wolves are sexy………The vampires are steaming and the humans, well there just human so do have a use 😉
Absolutely love the look of there guys, do i?? Maybe watch a few more vids first.
vampires and werewolves on the same side its game over man game over
Late to the party, but let loose the wolves of war.
Really need to get these painted
A very gothic faction.
Goofy name but great looking models
Confrontation copy, here I come! Thank god someone made a war game faction of werewolves again. I missed it so much!
They are Awesome! Fantastic sculpts, this is turning me towards Wrath of Kings…
I really didn’t want to like this game as I’ve got so much on the go right now but damn it’s really hard not to want to start playing!
Well im quite in love with House Nassier, but Goritsi and Shael Han is luring me a lot, maybe i make some money on comission paintings and get some boxes if someone else is the lucky guy who winns this 5 amazing prices!
Love the werewolves… less the vampires.
between this and Nasir, i can’t decide
Best sculptures in the game. Really want to play this faction. Let’s go peasent hunting.
Anf wolves are my favorite animal
These guys and the Nasier are my favourites. I like how the gift works and has affected these guys, enhancing their good qualities. Rare majority of male vampires is refreshing especially compared to say, old warhammer fantasy.
My least favorite faction and still very nice Models for the most part.
Ok I could have resisted anything. But Werewolves……. Those mini’s are unbeleivable. Gotta get m all
This faction seems cool, excited to see the other ones.
Some really characterful models there, they’ve really captured the power and speed of the faction!
I’ve had my eye on these chaps for a while. Not even to play the game, just as a painting project. Which is odd, as I don’t really do painting project. But these models are just too gorgeous!
“He is HUUEEGEEE”
Rely like the werewolves. love there speed.
Werewolfs FTW!!!! 😀
