Happy Sunday one and all.
Not really a Star Wars expert, but I actually loved the Adywan edit of Episode IV.
Happy Sunday fellow Cultists – wishing you all a happy Easter, may your Eggs be chocolate and your Hobby be as awesome as you are ??
Hail Eostre!
What other rites of Spring do we celebrate in this episode? I’ll have to give that bottle opening trick a go for a start.
I think my mum and Warren must be related, she always bought us big bars of chocolate rather than eggs as it was better value – also explains why I don’t own any whispa or kit-kat mugs!
I actually don’t know if birds can decide where they poo. They probably know when they are going to do it, as some birds will shift position before it comes out but whether they have the capacity to determine where it is going to hit – i would be doubtful, it would be a bit like dropping hand grenades from a biplane in WW1. Not something I have thought about too much about either.
Small birds shit more often, so they would have the most practice 🙂
I saw this for Warrens Mongolians from Serious Play Senics hope it helps or gives gets the little grey cells turning

Thanks mate this is the kind of stuff I’m looking for!
Happy Easter everyone, hope you and your loved ones stay safe.
wow ben, this is amazing, talk about it more please!
I just had to say… Wow, Ben! That game looks amazing! You should talk about Burrows & Badgers more often! 😉
?
…might just do that 😉
@@oathsworn Oh God . What have you done……
Better than grown men talking about 3D printing fancy dress costumes. We need a weekly dose of badger goodness!
True
Happy Sunday
” Wow, Ben! That game looks amazing! You should talk about Burrows & Badgers more often!”
Except the title picture, no, just no…
Great looking minis, Ben. I would absolutely love to see a Burrows and Badgers battle report on OTT. We’re OTTers, after all. ? Make it happen, Warren.
@warzan there is a very simple but effective flora basing tutorial in the current issue of irregular magazine that might work for your Mongols.

Awesome mate!
The tubs of coloured flock that’s used in the tutorial was bought from Hasslefree. I’m not sure if Sally is still selling it but you could always chuck her a message and ask.
Scrambled eggs on toast followed by chocolate egg. Eggtastic day to you all.
Happy Sunday/Easter
Anyone else spot the @avernos mini in front of Jerry with the thumb up! Jerry Can !
Inks rule for glazes! Yet another tip from the Jerry Can!
Ben keep the burrows and badger stuff coming and ignore the others, it is your hobby…and you are right the bigger the brush the better as it holds more paint in the bristles and won’t dry out as quick as per the instruction on the Rune Wars weekend.
That was no Gerry. That was The buddy Christ for Easter
Happy Sunday! Nice show, will have to give a go to those pigments. Although… only 3 badgers for a lord of the badgers? 😛
I loved hearing about Gerrys old wood. We should have a whole segment on it. “Gerry still can with his old wood.”
@lawnor how about “Gerry can help you get good wood” ?
Great show folks.
Painted a badger myself this week.
Not sure about the bird poo thing, I can tell you that a monkey once tried to wee on me on purpose.
For your army how about something like Scions of the Plains Dragon
Happy Easter Sunday to all, and thanks for the show.
Happy Easter to those that celebrate.
Happy Sunday! Peaceful Easter to all.
Happy Sunday all. Gerry, please feel free to talk more to us about inks, maybe even put them in a can. No we can’t exchange fluids!
Let me just say this: In an age where almost everybody is flipping from one game or army to another in a blink of an eye (looking at you @warzan and @avernos ) it’s really relaxing to see one @brennon sticking to one thing. KUDOS TO BEN!
I’m not flipping to anything, I merely have many active projects ongoing simultaneously
It’s the XLBS show………Easter Edition
W
Happy Sunday CoGs.
Always good to see more Burrows and Badgers! Well done @brennon
Who’d have thought we’d get a genuine history lesson from @warzan
Trebuchets are my favorite siege engines! Thanks @lloyd for making me think about them and crusaders again.
My hobby this week………..
Still working on my 28mm Uboot. I received my 28mm crew members from Empress. They look fantastic, and Empress even though under Pandemic restrictions managed to get my crew to me in the States very quickly. Well done Empress!
I started a second Uboot that is a larger cut-away model that I’ll use for the Uboot Board Game.
I’ve been collecting books on Uboots for years and have cracked those open along with a few others that I’ve recently bought and have started jotting down some notes for possible gaming scenarios once the 28mm boat is finished.
Great show as usual! Had not heard of the Hobbit Tolkien edit. I’m going to check that out. Sounds great
Happy Sunday…another brill show to be honest i am enjoying this format lads, thanks for keeping us informed and entertained
Screw the bunny lets get an Easter Badger!
Contrast paints seem to have done the trick for brother lloyd! Have you guys ever done a review on the green stuff intensity inks you guys sell in the store. Do they do the same sort of job to contrast?
I’ve not had the chance to see what they’re like. I may order a set and play about with them
Love this episode. Not really taking part in the spring clean challenge but I have been sorting out some old models from my collection, skull pass gobbos, black reach orcs, and a couple of other bits and pieces. Still trying to push forward with getting models “done”, the painting side is the bit I fall down on, hence why I still have those gobbos, the fear is crippling, I put off starting or walk away through fear of them not turning out as I want them to in my head. I had a conversation with Curis(ninjabread) over twittering recently about this issue, his advice was essentially paint and move on, there are models he’s done that are buried deep as he was disappointed in the outcome, but it didn’t stop him carrying on. For me I’m still attempting to push past my own fear, but I managed to finish two models last year, which may not seem much but it’d be as many as I ever completed in the previous decade, and it was the first time I’d picked up a paint brush in a good long while, some years.
I think your doing grand. Getting any project, large or small, completed is hard sometimes with life getting in the way of hobby time so two models assembled and painted is a definitive win in my book. I worry sometimes that I may have bitten off too much of a task but I try not to be too hard on myself these days and paint to my own standard, they are my minis after all, which has helped me to enjoy my hobby more and even pick up new techniques on the way which makes me in turn more confident to try a new challenge and has improved my painting. I hope you carry on when you find the chance and at least in the Cult you can guarantee that as long as your painting tiny fighting men you have nothing to worry about ?
Should have watched to the end…….inks came up again! Can see a compare and “contrast” (pardon the pun) between GW, GSW, and liquitex coming on in a Gerry can video!
I could maybe do Vallejo, Army Painter and Liquitex. I do have some GW but they’re older than most of their players so I don’t know how they compare to the modern version
Some nice items for this Sundays show. Needs more Justin!
love the ninja nipples guy intro guy’s
A great show.
Ben, never be afraid to show your Badger or Dwarf love.
I love anthropomorphic animals, takes me back to Wind in the Willows, Watership Down etc.
@Brennon…Nicely done, Ben! A fine inspiration to me as I slog through my last weeks on the road…and the Oathsworn folks are really fine people to support. I have a pile of this stuff waiting for attention when I get home…presents for daughter and grandson
Happy Sunday (well it’s Monday Morning here now…. nut what the hell) Really enjoyed this weeks XLBS . Full Disclosure; Burrows and Badgers really isn’t my jam but, and it’s a big but (no, not you dearest) Ben’s enthusiasim is infectious, his minis are beautiful. (and your painting has progressed so much since the first WarmaHordes minis I recall seeing years ago) and bugger it, I am going off to have good look at the project. Good on you matie.
You guys always brighten up my weekend. Regarding Warren’s Mongolians, this may be what he is looking for as far as flowering tuffs.
