The a10 is cool am i right?
Most people like to cite rambo 3 for images of a hind gunship. However, unless I’m mistaken, the helecopter in Rambo 3 wasn’t a Hind. It was a Aérospatiale Puma dressed up to look something like a Hind, but the front cockpit window area was totally different.
You know.. I never knew that!
But it must have worked, ever since I was a kid and saw that helicopter in that movie I have loved it 🙂

The MiG-27 was underrated but my choice is still F-4 Phantom, mainly for bang-for-buck.
Just love the look of the F4. Sadly missed Fairford air tattoo this year, as I think there was a rare chance to see one in the air.
I really like the Hind.

This is a grate little game.
this is a hard choice… for style I prefer the A-10… but the tornado… mmm…
I prefer the Tornado because I worked with them so long and where 50ft above sea level is counted as high altitude.

The concept of low-level firing pass weapons on the Tornado turned out to be not such a good idea in the Gulf War (1991) as the JP233 system in use provided the Iraqi AAA gunners a fantastic way of spotting them even when they were coming strainht towards them – even manually aimed weapons with daytime sights could try their luck.

Arrrgh tough call, what is not to love about the A-10, but Hinds are pretty sweet too. Dang.
Man the Tornado is nasty (I’m really worried about those cluster bombs on the tabletop). I still think the Hind is the bees knees with everything it can do.
The A10 is probably one of the most successful weapon designs ever.
I’ve loved the look of A10 (and Hind) since I was a kid.
only 1 for aircraft and thats the a-10, for helicopter have to go with the hind
It would be cool if the swing wing feature was incorporated into the Team Yankee Tornado model.
Was going to use the F4 Phantom in lieu of the Tornado, as I love the aircraft and gives me an excuse to make a plastic kit!
There are similar options for the Russians, although not sure about the US (A10 would be the top choice for ground support I think!)

I love the look of the tornado… I did see it painted in green, but the military grey looks 100x better in my opinion. Another fun video guys. Top trumps with stat cards, who knew

Personally though. I really want to see how the game would handle a Hercules Spectre Gunship. 🙂

When did the Apache enter service?
After Team Yankee is set I think.
Although if they are moving the campaign forward (which they might be, re. comments on M1A1 bits in the Abrams kits) you have to think the Apache will appear at some point. They’d be fools not to.

Apache went into full production in 1982. Would love to see a model some day. Also would like to see UH-60s and build an air cavalry company . But one could use Hueys from Battlefront’s Vietnam collection in a pinch.

I think this has been my favorite themed week out of any so far, a plethora of content for sure! I really need to round out my support options
With the battlefield scale dedicated AA should control nearly the whole area. Wonder what this rule set would play like with 6mm models? Just a thought.

In terms of style the Tornado wins hands down. It’s got an elegance to it, but also a brutality and a lot of noise and power when the pilot puts on the afterburner.

Again, I thought this was a fun video. Informative, but still enjoyable to watch. Very interesting to put these vehicles side by side on characteristics.
Great card game, i`m gonna have to nip on over to the “Tank Museum” site and order some card games. I`ve not play any TT`s in a long time, but now i have grandkids it`s time to teach them.
Pity that this week has to come to an end, so i may just have to re-watch the week again.
Got the kids to get there Top Trumps out today good fun . For me its the A 10 all the way

So, is the B-52 going to be in wave 2 for the Americans? Iraqi soldiers declared it the scariest weapon of the Gulf War. 🙂

I am loving the nostalgia of the Team Yankee top trumps lol. It would be awesome to have every vehicle in the game on playing cards for travel entertainment lol
A-10…
For an AA unit the main things to look for are maneuverability and chances of scoring a hit on the target. The latter not only depends on the crew but the targeting technology in use.
Really don’t know which nation to opt for..
Could you maybe put British decals on the Tornadoes and have them included in the British force when they release them later this year?
