Reply To: Houserules – Yay or nay?

I’m not a fan.

Firstly, when I pay good money for a game I expect the rules to be complete, not needing me to invent further rules to fix various issues.

Secondly, too many house rules tweak the game to the point where going to other clubs or tournaments gets difficult.

Keep in mind that I’m not talking about one-off rules (wouldn’t it be cool to try this tonight?) but rather about house rules introduced to tweak the balance, clarify rules, add new weapons / units, etc.
