So I got a single British figure off eBay to do a colour scheme test. I think it is a Perry miniature and as it is clearly an officer he’s now been named Rupert (because all the best ones are!) and he will be a two pipped wonder. I like to either do notes or, as I have here, get a bit of plastic card and make a reference card. I’ve had a look at loads of reference photos and then I have written down the colour that closest matches the bit I want to paint. There are a couple of other patches where I have mixed a couple of colours to get a closer match, Rupert is wearing a jumper so I wanted a greyish green. I also annotate the prime colours so I know which I used to mix the secondary one. I’ll block in the base colours and then post another picky!

Please ignore all the banshees in the background, another project, I mean how can you resist them. not me, I got eight! Bit of a glass hammer though but they’ll look great……………eventually!
