Reading … actually rereading Pratchett’s Going Postal , after having watched the movie earlier this week . Also a hobby related book , D-Day to Victory ( Sgt. T. Greenwood ) , about a Brit Churchill tank commander’s day to day life .in France 1944 / Germany 1945 .
Never felt the need to go that intense on my hobby , its supposed to be fun and relaxing , isn’t it ? I never got the memo …..
I like to have kit bashed , one of a kind figures . I get a lot enjoyment out of taking 5 Bolt Action figures with the same pose and make them totally different in stance , arms , head and weapons . Luckily the BA plastic is quite soft and cuts easily , and the figure sprues come with a great variety of parts , plus most of the arms from most of the sets be swapped around freely , just pay attention to the cuffs . If I was modelling Waterloo , I can see where standard rank & file figures would be the way to go , lucky for me I model WW2
Still working away on my Orc plane , plus I’ve received a couple of kits in the mail , so its get out the books and start picking through the parts box looking for bits to use on my next vehicle conversion / kit bash . Also got Brit Paras ans Waffen SS to build and paint
Still can’t figure out how to add music links ….but been listening to a lot of Mott the Hoople lately , their 2009 and 2013 reunion shows .
