I know we have thoroughly hijacked this thread but it’s good to talk about the perceived value of the backstage pass, like most here I’m an active (ish) member and just knowing that there is a site I can go to on a daily basis for all my gaming news is great.

However in this age of online anonymity its very easy for people to not factor in how much their contribution counts (I mean its only the price of a coffee right?) and so if they can get the content for free then why not? I doubt many will say why they stopped either, I certainly don’t fill in all the feedback forms I come across in my day to day. Its these people that the value of backstage needs to be proved to, not necessarily those more committed members like laughingboy or Sundancer (just two names I see a lot on the site).

Is it worth having some survey to see where people see the value in their backstage pass? This could help shape the future of OTT as well.
