Big releases for me are Cold War Commander and Future War Commander (Dunno what version the WW2 rules are on, is the 4th?). These have been in print a good long while and probably could do with some updating (although I’m not sure where as both play fine, as do all the XXXXX Commander rules as they share the same mechanics (not sure why there’s been so many versions of the WW2 one).
My next big thing is going to be using the Pendraken 10mm for the League of Augsburg type games (although looking at battles on the continent rather than just Ireland). As the League of Ausburg range has been sculpted by Clibinarium (probably THE best 10mm sculptor, although he’s only done three ranges (AWI and Late Romans are the others), I wish upon wish he’s do more. There’s a new book that I’m going to pick up called “Every Bullet has it’s Billet” (By Barry Hilton) that’s supposed to be the perfect primer for this period for dullards like me (who has absolutely no clue as to the period). Rules I’ve yet to decide on, but the figures are going to be the Pendraken ones….oh yes they are….
..is it a bad thing to start a new period/scale just based on the figures? I mean I might not like the tactics involved etc
