@sundancer You haven’t heard how bad my accent can get… 😛 We had a German exchange student at our uni for a semester and I was actually very proud of the fact that I never let my ‘Allo ‘Allo style German accent slip or ‘mention the war’ (as Basil Faulty would say). 😛 I will say that if I am ever in a situation where I am trying to speak someone else’s language I tend to find that they respect the attempt even if it is a little clumsy and communicating in English is easier for everyone present. 😛 I actually got complimented on my pronunciation while I was in Norway.
