Okay – late to the party on this, sorry.

I have found, even with more time to watch, I watch the Weekender and XLBS far, far less now than I have in years. Things really started to drop off in the middle of 2020. In part, I think the change in format post C19 has been a factor, but I also think the change in personnel has impacted my viewing too. The interaction between Warren and Justin is sorely missed by me, as it was this that pulled me in to start with.

The Zoom style is fine, but there are issues when people try to show their work – and all you get is a blurred smudge as something is held close to the camera. In the studio, they have the professional set up and the cameras can focus on these things properly.

I also feel the humour flowed more easily in the studio – maybe it’s just me, but things felt more “natural”.

I’ve actually watched so little recently, I’ve actually had days where (don’t hate me for this!) I’ve considered cancelling my backstage membership.
