I finished the Conquest box. Now for a short break for fun painting while I await delivery of the rest of my Pledge.

February 1, 2021 at 1:01 pm #1604627@lawnor, as always you’re way ahead of me… I’ve only recieved part of the minis pledged for the year on Friday.

First wave: over 40 miniatures, giant robot and couple of dozens scenery pieces (doors, sentry guns etc.). Second wave (delivery date unknown) will, from what I remember, double the number of minis.
Anyway, I can start fulfilling my pledge.
February 1, 2021 at 1:08 pm #1604632That’ll keep you busy! A lot of mine doesn tturn up until Q2 and possibly late Q3 / early Q4 assuming no further delays
February 1, 2021 at 8:10 pm #1604862Well so far in 2021 I’ve managed to finish 19 miniatures (mind you one was in 75mm scale).
February 1, 2021 at 10:42 pm #1604915Some great progress already @lawnor and @jodain
I’ve managed to finish the Zulus. These are the uDloko regiment:

Then the elite uThulwana regiment:

and finally the generals and a witch doctor:

Working on the 40 odd Rorke’s Drift defenders at the moment. Finished all the straps tonight so red coats tomorrow evening 🙂 35/365 complete.
February 4, 2021 at 1:21 am #1606017… honestly I turn my back for a few weeks and cool new stuff appears. Nice work to Lawnor’s Conquest and Zoidpinhead’s Zulus, and Jordain 16 models puts you streets ahead of me .
As to my self I have started on multiple projects and the are all developing at different paces, however I should have 3 whole completed mins to show you soon.
February 4, 2021 at 9:19 pm #1606424This is what I have completed so far : An Arcworlde Halfling Captain.

and two new Vyrmin Voltchasers for Deadzone (it is the two in the front … the two at the back are the ones I did at the end of last year)
February 21, 2021 at 6:54 pm #1614346Thanks to a productive week of painting (half term for me and the kids), caused by me getting my eldest into painting, I’ve managed to get to 57 miniatures completed so far this year. For once in my life I’ve managed to paint more figures than there have been days in the year, now I wonder if I can keep ahead of it.
February 21, 2021 at 9:09 pm #1614375Too late to join in?
If not I have a very simple pledge
1.) do some (any) effing hobby!
Failed to paint or assemble a single mini in 2020 literally nothing a very low bar to cross didn’t even have time to read anything, closest I came was listening to some black library on audible as day job took over everything.
February 22, 2021 at 7:36 am #1614514@timchubb Never too late mate
February 22, 2021 at 9:09 am #1614546February 22, 2021 at 9:38 pm #1614886I’ve made some progress over the last month or so. Finished the Rorke’s Drift British, very basic paint job but there are 43 of them:

Some extra bits like these Nguni cattle and a cute terrier:

After that I did the Grey Company for LotR:

And also a minotaur by Otherworld Miniatures:

I’m up to 95/365 now 🙂 Next up, Saga Normans.
March 2, 2021 at 12:00 pm #1618424Got the first of the Normans done super quickly. Thank you zenithal highlight and contrast paints on the clothing. Gotta get the right ones, not too translucent or opaque but the ones in the sweet spot are fantastic. “Normal” paints used on armour, skin and leatherwork with my usual matted AP Dip for a long and active gaming life.

Wargames Foundry sculpts. Very characterful. Now onto the cavalry. Two units of mounted warriors and 3 of mounted hearthguard plus William the Warlord with standard bearer. 115/365 completed.
March 3, 2021 at 4:20 pm #1618942Good to see so much progress on people’s pledges going on. January was good for me but February was an emotional struggle for me so I tried to spend more time playing RPGs than painting. Feeling a but more balanced this month so hopefully can get cracking back into the pile
March 3, 2021 at 5:38 pm #1618955I’ve not been doing too bad progress wise.
At the end of Feb I’ve painted 1 of 6 Napoleonic battalions I’m aiming to complete, with another about 75% done.
I’ve also picked my small new project for the year, a Viking warband for Ravenfeast, and have got 5/21 models finished.
Despite temptations, I’ve also been very good about resisting the lure of new shiny things. Admittedly, there’s a lot of the year left to go, so plenty of time still left to unbalance the amount of painted to new minis!
