@horati0nosebl0wer Do go to other physical events.  It was my first time at Partizan and nice to see what the UK industry’s home show looks like.  It was on the same scale as the bigger regional shows and was busy all day.  Comments after said it was their busiest ever in terms of footfall.  Hopefully traders had a good day.  I was a bit disappointed that I didn’t see anything new that knocked my socks off as you sometimes get at shows.  Harfoot Jousting is a bit too whimsical for my taste but that demo seemed busy.  Chain of Command 2 was the big show launch and seemed to do brisk business.  There a very broad spread of tables on show from the sublime like the Mount Badon table to the ridiculous.  The gaming tables were in zones and in the competition zone was a huge table 20+ feet long by 4 feet wide with just mats on it, not even any hills or trees, and a large number of Napoleonic players doing a massive battle; although this predictably had broken down into a number of smaller sub-battles as players opposite one another paired off to fight each other.  They looked to be having fun so I guess that was what was important.  Partizan were trying a new format of bring and buy with people renting tables for a short time.  I’m not sure this worked as the people needed a big volume of stuff to justify a table and some were clearly small scale traders and prices were higher than you’d expect for b&b.  I’d happily go again at some point but we might look at a different show next year if the group fancy another away day.
