A slight stall on the Hellenics right now as I wait for some parts to add to one of my units. With mail delivery it is a tricky thing. At the local post office they’re really sticklers for having a unit # or else they send it back. A few grumbles on my side regarding that (see the episode Lloyd got his delivery back from Bhutan).

Speaking of army building… there may now be the beginning of what might be, potentially, a second fantastic army inspired by motifs of the Middle East. I will neither confirm nor deny the existence of undead camel riders, files for scorpion riding goblins amd or a massive ifrit king. The tally for army builds keeps rising. To combat too much in my home I’m giving up more to the Paint&Take of the painting group at my FLGS. Is anyone else using this method to help clear out their Pile of Shame and get motivated for their own work?

P.S. as soon as I got in my car at the post office after sending this message I opened a parcel and the parts I ordered were inside. Well, I’ll get to the work after I get home tonight.

Getting motivated? What’s that? In all seriousness I very rarely feel motivated from the outside. Most of the time it’s from the inside.

Rick Priestley is literally one of the coolest people in “the hobby”, along with Jervis Johnson. There’s a few others. I had interactions with them some time ago, back when I had the honour to be the first Warlord forum mod. Alessio Cavatorre on the other hand … well, best not said, eh?

I have had a paint-tastic weekend. Almost done my batch one of the commission I’m working on. Just a few models to go.

Went out for Korean BBQ with the missus, and she asked if I wanted to go the music shop after … and now I have a new Marshall amp inbound. 🤘

 

Why Marshall? Because it’s made in the UK (Bletchley, of ULTRA fame!), and more importantly, it’s NOT AMERICAN.

 

Canadians are tired of the US government’s provocations, which are feeling eerily similar to those of Russia before the “special operation” to invade Ukraine.

I am tired of American provocation.

Boycott of America is in full effect.

Aside from staring at the Perrys at Tactica once or twice I never had (to my knowledge) any interaction with the old and famous from “the good old days”.

And just like that it’s Monday. I’ve got the sniffels and a slight headache.
