I’ve been back on a terrain kick. Spanish church from Charlie Foxtrot.
I’m really pleased with how this has turned out, only a few little bits to tidy up and it’s done!

This texture is to die for. Amazing what a bit of filler and some washes will do for a piece of terrain.
July 27, 2019 at 7:54 pm #1418778I finished painting an Ultracombat Modern American Soldier from Dishdash Publishing.
July 28, 2019 at 5:06 pm #1418945Got a bit further on the Hordes of Werewolves. They are ready for some washes and details.

July 28, 2019 at 5:41 pm #1418967I’m loving your Werewolves @144artist
These are the ones I did for my KoW Undead Army years ago.

You’ve reminded me that I still have a load to build let alone paint!
July 28, 2019 at 6:42 pm #1419001Finally managed to get some more work done on Kasym Beg, from Infinity. Had a go at all the red areas of the byke. Trying to get it to look “shiny”

July 28, 2019 at 11:13 pm #1419103Not posted for a while, been busy but just crap at admin.. anyway over the past couple of weeks I took my 6 man Kill Team to a full-blown Necron army.. simple scheme but looks good for the tabletop.

July 28, 2019 at 11:18 pm #1419119So proud of my son James picking up where I left off to get his army complete, good work for an 11 year old and he now has a pretty decent fully painted army.

July 29, 2019 at 10:35 am #1419229I finished painting some new models that are the same as some of the first models I ever painted 6ish years ago so I thought I’d post a comparison to show how my painting ans photography has improved over the years. All models are from Cygnar for Warmachine.
Here is my Charger from 2013 and my Charger from this weekend:

You’d never guess the charger was actually on fire at one point.
And here are the Stormsmith Stormcallers from 2013 and now:

All the paints used were the same, except for the hair colours. I did use an airbrush to get the blue down. I think I’ve come on a lot, even if I’m no master. There’s always more to learn
July 29, 2019 at 11:37 am #1419273In preparation for BA Korea

July 29, 2019 at 11:50 am #1419278I also finished off some other models this weekend:

Doomstalker for Gloomhaven

The Summoner for Gloomhaven. Looks like I’ve never touched paint before and only had 4 random colours to work with. Its an ugly paint job for a disappointing model with rules that mean we likely won’t ever play her, but its as close to the artwork as I could get without spending months learning new techniques and she really doesn’t deserve the effort

Green fire (duh). Model came free in an Asset Drop Discovery box. They’ve started giving out ;little things like this to test the included paint schemes on. I’ve turned mine in to a 40mm Flag marker for my Cryx army I don’t play for Warmachine. This felt a little tacky to the touch when I got it and it developed a few cracks, which still show through the paint. I assume the resin hadn’t cured properly before being dispatched. Their other test tiles have been fine, and this is still more than good enough for a freebie and for what I’m using it for.
I also have done some prep work ready for the 40K Hobby Weekend which can be seen over HERE.
July 29, 2019 at 4:43 pm #1419405I’m back to hobby after couple of weeks of hiatus.
I glued together couple of new Infinity minis last weekend and actually finished painting a piece of terrain that I’d 3d-printed months ago. Bellow you see some photos of the terrain with ‘glamour’ shot of some of my Frostgrave crew for scale.

July 29, 2019 at 9:38 pm #1419486Finished up my bouncy boii for Nightvault. First proper attempt at NMM on the spear, I’m happy with the result.
