I finished up Gotfret de Montbard (a crusader) for my Astra Militarum Kill Team. Had a lot of fun with this model.

I have finished painting most of the pieces on sprue and am ready to assemble my Tattoria.  There will be more painting once that’s done but it will be mostly edges or touch up. I will be posting the steps and finished shots on my project blog once it is complete. I’ve been spending the last while getting into painting and building some stuff for the British contribution to the Afghan war. The buildings are 3D printed on a prusa i3 and the minis are from white dragon minis. Thanks to those that I’ve had help from and also a few vids on YouTube

@144artist yeah it’s a bit silly but pizza box and cork screw works fine to have handles for your minis at pretty much free. Just ask for empty pizza boxes next time you go take one away and they’ll happily give you a couple. Got 3 of them so I can have several projects on the go in parallele and move them from the desk to outside for undercoating nice and quick.

@wolfch yes, sorry! I was tired when I posted that and couldn’t be bothered to cite it properly.

I do like their minis a lot, I prefer the heroic style rather than the realistic style of say spectre minis etc.

the terrain is 3d printed, based and painted, the tree is a woodland scenics armature with moss and flock added.

@144artist Man, don’t even get me started on printing minis 😉 . I’m doomed and so is anyone who ever gets into printing minis. Number and availability of weirdest printable minis is completely overwhelming. Any gener, any franchise, any scale one can imagine. You want gundam scaled to play with your Battletech? or 20mm GI Joe with all imaginable vehicles? or 54 mm zombies dressed for late XVI century Moscow? or like me crowds of cyberpunk ladies  with augmented eyes in 28mm? Internet has you covered, it is worst than porn. Just browsing for cool minis took me over 30 hours on Weekend and brought 8GB of only minis to print…

So, to cut long story short, I think I’ll play it safe for a moment and maybe put my Infinity Shasvasti on those bases 😉

I have been hard working on my Spartan Krypteia, basically Spartan elites, for Mortal Gods and jolly pleased I am with the results. I wanted them to fit into the rest of my Spartan force but at the same time stand out from them too, the helmets help with that for sure.
