Working on some 3D printed scenery… the underwater ruins from Deepwars (now an add-on in their current KS Rogues Gallery)

Started with 1 small part to figure out a paint scheme. Think I’ll finish this broken pillar soon with only a final blue glaze to go (and some baracles…).

Quite pleased with the result so far and looking forward to do the bigger parts 🙂

Carro Armato M13/41 from Warlord Games.  Went to town on it with the AK Interactive weathering pencils – those things are awesome!  The rust on the exaust, staining around the exaust tips, and fuel stains were all done by wet blending different color pencils.  The sand colored pencil was used to create dust collected on the flat surfaces of the tank.  I’m really happy with the results.

I’ve just used red and light green silly putty to mask out a tank for airbrush camo application and while its worked its left lots of stains everywhere.  Dabbing it with putty to remove isn’t working.  Its not just at the edges either.  Patches of the undercoat have absorbed the colour of the putty.  Why has this happened?  Does putty get too old for our purposes?  Mine was bought Jan 2017.  I last used it a souple of months ago with no noticeable issues but I was applying it over something more organic and messy so perhaps it just hid better?

I think I’m going to have to re-mask for the next colour and then tidy this all up by brush, whcih I really don’t want to do.  I fear it will look wrong.

Moving onto some of my sci/fi backlog and began work on this squad of Hasslefree troopers.  Here are a few from the squad of six.  Mostly base coated and ready for all the fine brushwork.  I think the Secret Weapon bases a perfect addition to the team.

I have finished my Treadwheel Crane for Gangs of Rome. The crane actually can lift the weights up as the treadwheel turns, lifting the crane up and down. Please with that.

Wasn’t happy with my off black uniform so did a practice run today on one of my test mini spares. Happy with how it turned out so will try and get it on some of the infantry tomorrow.
