What Are You Painting Now?

Long time no chat guys.

So I’ve had a spectacularly crappy few weeks health-wise, queue 2 weeks of unplanned leave from work >_<

That all comes up as the main reason for my lack of engagement here, but as thankfully it feels like I’ve turned a bit of a corner so want to try and get my hobby head back on. To that end:

Converted the Ultramarine Lt from Warhammer Conquest into an intercessor Sgt for my Deathwatch, kit-bashed a spare Dark Imperium Lt into a line Intercessor, and had a spare from the Intercessor kit who I built as well. All Ultramarines as I kinda dig the idea of them being one of the squads assigned wholesale by Guilleman via the Ultima decree…

Also built a Tempestor Prime to  command the 40+ Kasrkin I have knocking around, and it struck me just how much bigger (and more true to scale) the Primaris are compared to normal humans 😀

And today started laying down base colours on my Fenrisian Wolves.  nothing fancy – Kharak Stone for the main pack(s) and Skavenblight Dinge on the 2 who will be accompanying Ragnar

And after the first layer of washes – Seraphim Sepia over the Kharak and Nuln Oil over the Skavenblght.

Then whilst those were drying finished adding the gold trim to the various components of my two Imperial knights of House Mortan, and gave the black armour an initial base of Army Painter Necromancers Cloak. Next step a second coat and tidying up where the gold spilled onto the coloured elements of the armour plates, before washes & glazes (and hoping there is enough Stirland Battlemire left in the bottle….)

More Malifaux models for my Guild.

This means that in the last fortnight I’ve painted 7 models, which has officially beaten my previous annual best (Which was 6 Pulp City minis last year!)  And I’m still motivated enough to continue.  I’m not sure what’s come over me!

Nearing the end of my  Imperial Assault project with 6 minis and 1 walker left.

Then the wookie wins a matt coat and a clear base like the rest

A little more progress on my Orks.  Mostly just blocking out the colours for now as not sure what coulours I want where on these guys.  Not much done as I got to spend the weekend playing Gloomhaven.  Unlocked our first new character so thats more painting I need to get done soon.

For me this weekend has been a busy one, plenty of hobby as I’m off work this week – wooohooo

First off is the 6 Poxwalkers from the Conquest magazine, I have another 6 in the to be done pile, but these are just a simple quick job.

A little bit of work on the first Black Legion terminator to break up the pox boys!

And the first Conquest Ultramarine has also been started

 

Both of my projects are still live… Black Legion and my general hobby one.
