Another new Sectorial Army for you as we take a look at more forces from the Human Sphere N3 Book for Infinity. We're now turning our attention to the well known Ariadna army and their US contingent.
We'll be learning more about the USAriadna Ranger Force and talking about its units and how it plays.

Van Zant is the reason I’d play these, but I think I’d sooner go for Acontecimento. I like my Infinity a little more Tech.

Blackjacks look absolutely solid, having a Wardriver along helps out the whole sectorial on top of protecting them with fairy dust.
Wardriver availability is a big help, Blackjacks are an automatic purchase.
The unknown Ranger has high armour and survivability, steals enemy weapons and is “unknown” ie nobody’s saw his face. He’s Master Chief.
like the look of these. But then i like the look of most of the Infinity range.

I never really bother looking at usariadna.. now I am reconsidering it. Kinda like a low tech swarm.
The black jacks are really interesting with their “battle ravaged” state. although the word “ravaged” brings some wrong associations with it.

Just recently switched from playing mostly 40k to infinity, and now I play mostly Infinity. I am really excited to see US ariadna sectorial army fleshed out, even though they did not have all their full options already they feel very competitive which is one of the things I love about infinity. There are lots of competitive options, and different options just add build variety and it comes down to what you do with it and then the dice 😉

I have to say the Unknown Ranger sounds like it could be Chuck Norris because he would be able to beat anyone in Infinity with both hands tied behind his back.

If the Unknown ranger was not Chuck Norris I would be sorely disappointed and instead of a tactical rock on the base it has to be a dead snake.
The stats make me think he’s Captain America. Good CC makes sense. A hard-hitting CC weapon makes sense. Light infantry with armor 4 makes sense, because his armor is just his shield. And his symbol looks a lot like Captain America’s shield.
The new models for USAriadna look incredible. Very realistic, they’re the most popular faction in out gaming group. They’re really a nice change from the super slick sci-fi look of the other factions.

That scavenger skill sounds dangerous. I wonder how many more profiles will have it.
The Captain america look-alike is not possible. The Cap is too righteous to steal an enemies weapon.
But as cool as all this sounds I think I’ll wait for the return of the Merovingians.
I know CB are aiming for the large customer base with the US Ariadna, but enough already, get to the French.

I love my Nomads but Ive really been thinking about making a Ariadna force.
I love that Blackjack low tech mechanic. It would also allow for a TAG in Ariadna.

And the Blackjack profile is really interesting, with it’s improved “low-tech” Symbiont Armour. Sadly, AVA1 only.
Given my own background, the Devil Dog is one of my favorites, though I’m looking forward to the Unknown Ranger model, which is sure to be a play on some historical figure…

The unknown ranger sounds like frickin John Matrix (Commando, 1985). Heavy pistol (His Desert Eagle) Scavenger (If you’ve seen the movie, you get it), Natural Born Warrior (“I eat green berets like you for breakfast.”) It’s totally gonna be Arnold.

Not a fan of the style of USAriadna, but one of the good things on Infinity is diversity. If you like kilt wearing claymore wielding werewolves… Well, they have it.
I so want to get the new Ariadna stuff! The designs are amazing, so crisp and beautiful! I was a bit reserved at first, what with the low number of options, but since the Army Pack, this sectorial has really gotten some love!
Weirdly, as excited I am about the newer units (Desperadoes, Blackjacks, Unknown Ranger), the things I think will be even more awesome will be the Marauders and Minutemen boxes, to field more weapon options, and full fireteams, without having to buy 4 starter sets and convert them all! 🙂 So stoked!
I have to admit that these previews are making me itch for the USAriadna forces.
It may be time to drop 40k and pick up infinity. Those bike models are amazing.

I cannot wait for the Unknown Ranger to drop. USARF has been a great way to drop into the game. And having access to Wardrivers made me one happy camper. That Druze Hacker exclusive preorder mini’s gonna fit right in with my crew.

The Unknown Soldier has to be Harry from True Lies, go in use your ammo, pick up another gun, empty that clip into someone else and keep on going.
Eventually he hops into a TAG looking strikingly similar to a Harrier and he’s set.
The unknown ranger looks cool. Maybe Chuck Norris with a mask.
hmm when is the plastic coming out. I know people love the metal but imagine how easy it would be for the modelers and those that don’t like metal.
Interesting profiles and equipment in this video. I especially liked the battle ravaged profile for Blackjack.
It will be interesting to see if they will extend such profiles to other factions.

Interesting that in the ‘old days’ the Ariadna HI used to have 4-4 Move while other factions had 4-2. I admit it didn’t make any sense to be that way around but now they seem to have flipped it. As for the Unknown Ranger.. wow, there are so many people who could have inspired the profile and the model, but with the star symbol on the unit profile my money is on a Captain America themed unit. Good to see Scavenger and NBW on a profile too.. I’d actually come up with something similar (unofficial of course) last year..

For all the people who thinks that the unknown ranger could be Chuck Norris, I am sorry to say he is by himself an entire army with infinite wounds, not that one and a half wound this guy have, this profile suits more Sylvester Stallone.
Even though I don’t collect Ariadna these look very tempting. If my brother picks up Van Zant for his Ariadnas I will have to restrain myself from adopting a Matthew McConnaughey impression “Envy the country that has heroes? I say pity the country that needs them”.

Ok so my thoughts, Only D-Charge on a Dozer is frustrating, I had hoped for one more somewhere like the Unknown Ranger or on a Para. I am excited for the release schedule very much, knowing that we will finally get Marauders and a new Foxtrot soon is just awesome. The Blackjack sound really cool and the profiles look like good additions.

The sectorial that got one of my friends interested in the game, this week has got him talking about it again.
I`ve now watched this 3 time`s, and i think i`m gonna have to watch it a few more just in case i`ve missed something the previous time`s………………….
I`m really liking the look of the USAriadna Ranger Force, gonna have a mess around with some list`s and see what i come up with.
The “Unknown Ranger” : I`ve had image`s in my head of what i think he may look like, and i bet there nowhere near what he`s gonna look like. I can see a lot of conversion`s being done of this guy, and i for one will done one, but first let`s see what else is coming out……….

I really love those models! Even if i don’t play the game (yet?!?) i bought the big box for my upcomming campaign of the RPG that’s comming up.

I have yet to play this game, but I came across this army a couple weeks ago. This has convinced me to start trying to paint more and get into this game. So, soon I hope to pick up their starter set. The only problem is figuring out which opposing army to pick up. There are so many good choices.
My biggest issue with infinity is I want every faction!!! Everything rocks! Secretly hoping the unknown ranger looks a bit like the winter soldier as opposed to cap. America but that’s just me lol

YEEEHAA!!!I love the idea of Marines in space because I love the series of “Alien”-Movies, especially the second part. I also like vant Zant and his Airborne Rangers. They have also a nice cinematic background.

My mate plays Ariadna and has been using more vanilla lists as we’ve been learning the game but am sure given the cool options available and having seen how devastating grunts can be in the previous BOW battle reports am sure I’ll come up against a sectorial list soon!
