We saw Killian bounce back into the game during the previous battle report. Too bad he lost the Iguana pilot in the end but boy, was he lucky on the armor rolls on the chain rifle shot!
The dog warrior didn’t deliver this time either… Maybe Carlos forgot to howl to the moon before battle. 😉
Carlos is an absolute joker! I love his banter, I wish I had gone to the infinity boot camp just to meet him.

This looks fantastic!
That was extremely entertaining lads. The 150pt game was part demonstration so things had to be spelled out but you’ve more freedom with this game and it’s easy to see you’re enjoying yourselves. And with better flow to the game it’s far easier to see the dynamics of the ruleset. Gutted to see the TAG go in the opening shots as I was hoping to see it in action and (as mentioned in a previous comment) it would have been cool to see it square off against the dogs!

We keep forgetting that the devil Dog has total immunity so only takes one damage roll from DA ammo. 🙁
Actually watching this video and the 150 pt demo helped reassure me about getting more into Infinity.
When everything was falling apart for Carlos and he was dealing with huge frustrations, I was thinking “Oh, It’s not just me! That even happens to one of the developers.” That gives me the confidence to forge on boldly and keep trying new and crazy gambits.
Double checking the rules and re-doing rolls and actions when things are forgotten just help put a more friendly community face on Infinity and Corvus Belli for me.
Yeah, that battle reports make me feel a lot better about myself as a player. “They screw that one up too!”

I discovered Beasts of War when they did thw games awards, cheap champagne and suits ha ha. Corvus Belli was nominated for number of awards. I thought “Who the heck is Corvus Belli”, as Im like 37 million years old (like my kids think), I played Fantasy Battle, 40k, and Epic in the late 80s/90s, so I only thought GW did MWGing. But since BoW, I have discovered how awesome Infinity is as game, and how sound the team at Corvus Belli are. It feels like making money,is not the main driver, but the production of a quality gam. CB BoW fing awesome.
Always fun watching a video with Carlos in it 🙂

Interesting. In general this game seems pretty deadly and somewhat dicey. Basically going for crazy moves seems to be the fun way to play it.

In all the games i played or wached, i never saw Iguana do anyithing usefull.
And playing nomads with only one camo unit is like playing soft Pano 🙁

I’m undecided about how to expand my Nomads up to 200 and 300 pts.. I do like the Iguana, but was thinking maybe about Geckos and Tomcats for the docs and engineer options … hmm… too many good options!
Not to mention… isn’t generally bringing Nomads and strong Hackers/anti-hacking against an Ariadna force a bad idea? Since you know Ariadna won’t have TAGs and Remotes?
You can still hack their comms putting them in an Isolated state or put them in a Targeted state and give others a bonus to shoot them.

smoke + fo + tractor against NO MSV.. the loss of the tag with the first salvo was terrible.. i don’t know if putting the iguana operator in suppressive fire woul’ve been smart since a smoke could’ve nullified it…..

Why would you take hackers against Ariadna?
You can still use non-offensive hacking programs against Ariadna troops such as Spotlight, U-turn etc. Also if I’d had some remotes in the list I could have used the upgrade programs to give them boosts such as Marksmenship and +1 Burst in ARO.
What a great game! Can’t wait to play Infinity this weekend.

I made it all week going, “The USAriadina look really nice, but I’m still not that interested in Infinity.” This battle report is starting to sway me.
I really like the way the battle reports are done by these guys, as on other channels on youtube that I have seen don’t talk about the tactics they are using.

Im just coming over from GW where theres no customer communication or support. It somehow detracts from my enjoyment of their games. Carlos and Corvus Belli make me realize how much these guys care about their game and that level of care shines through in the game. Im so grateful to CB! Played a couple of games with my JSA this week. Totally different playstyle than my normal Ariadna army. A lot of these USA units seem very similar to what I have, so it shouldn’t be much of an adjustment. The speed of the bikes and the large templates for the flamers will be welcome.

I just ordered my first Infinity starter and these videos are getting me fired up to play.
Hmm is the army list wrong or has Killian forgotten that the Spektr is a FO? I think a MK12 Gecko would have been a much better tag choice than a Iguana for this fight. The gecko would have given enough points to upgrade the grenzer to a sniper intruder with 5 points to spare. If you take those left over 5 points and drop the intruder LT’s drop bear you could upgrade a alguaciles FO to a zero FO. That would have allowed a camo FO and the hidden deployment TO Camo FO to have both been deployed on top of the center objective buildings top which would have been a very strong position. Especially with the upgraded Intruder sniper with msv 2 clearing up that smoke early on.

23:30 – how does the camo’d foxtrot move out of cover (into LoF), back into cover (out of LoF) and THEN make a Discover roll? I thought first short order (move up 2″ then back 2″) would have to finish before second short order (Discover), in which case no LoF to roll Discover..?

I’m new to tabletop and visited a shop near my location. At the beginning I thought I was going for 40k as most people do. But then I watched an match of Infinity live and now I want to get started wtih this. A box like Operation Icestorm would be a perfect entrance to this world…
