Ramshackle Games and Warfactory Miniatures are on Kickstarter right now with a new project seeking to add some Classic Rat Folk miniatures to your Oldhammer collection. See what you make of the Rat Storm Rising campaign!
Rat Storm Rising Kickstarter // Ramshackle Games
With a lack of proper ratfolk miniatures on the market at the moment, Warfactory and Ramshackle are seeking to correct that with some mutant rodents that look like they have been dragged out of the sewers and the mid-80s.
Rat Storm Rising - Miniatures // Ramshackle Games
The full set of miniatures from the campaign includes two heavily armoured brutes, four robed priests, three slingers (one with a slave collar), four slaves in rags with hand weapons and then a set of three wooden shields. They should slot in nicely alongside other 28mm scale figures in this style.

All of the miniatures have been traditionally hand-sculpted using putty before being cast in crisp resin. This means you'll get all of the furry goodness you want and plenty of gnarly armour to drybrush and cover in rust.
This is a quick, clear and easy Kickstarter running for just two weeks and should give you the makings of an excellent rat folk warband for you to use in your Fantasy wargames. These would look excellent alongside old Mordheim miniatures!
Rat Storm Rising Miniatures - Painted // Ramshackle Games
You can pledge for the full Rat Storm Warband and get your hands on all of these miniatures or if you want a single figure, you can pledge at a lower level and then choose your favourite rat folk later on down the line.
Rat Storm Rising Miniatures - Unpainted // Ramshackle Games
I like that Ramshackle Games are casting these alongside the additional terrain elements, which can then be used to make pieces of scatter terrain or used on bases. Even the elements used to make sure the weapons and such cast properly could be turned into basing material!
The campaign is available for you to dive into right now, giving you plenty of ratty villains to add to your tabletop games.

Rats!
Why has no one else cribbed Ramshackle’s idea for making the sprues useable? It’s frigging brilliant! Turn what would normally be thrown away into terrain and bits!
You can’t tell me that plastic sprues, like what GW, Wargames Atlantic, et al make couldn’t be turned into I-beams, sandbags, and other stuff. It’s not like it would cost more in material.
Free bits, less waste — what’s not to love?
You’re not wrong – it would be so easy to give people the same plastic, but usable
