Mantic Games Begin The Road To Kings Of War 4th Edition [Update]

Mantic Games has started their "Road to Kings of War 4th Edition" this week, which predictably sees them setting the scene for the new edition of their hit 28mm scale Fantasy wargame.

Some nice ways for you to dive into the building hype for Kings of War over the next couple of weeks from Mantic. In addition to the videos, a full blog (which you can find HERE) will be available, introducing more reveals as the days go by. We've already had some clues...

Clues // Kings of War

...and there are going to be a lot of development blogs covering the changes to gameplay, the different phases of the game, stories, army building and more. This is a good dive into the world of Pannithor and what previous editions and this new edition are bringing to the tabletop. I'm sure that someone will be able to decipher that board of clues!

I imagine that Gerry is going to be lapping this up and if you thought this was intriguing, I'd wait for the Weekender on Friday, where we're no doubt going to be taking a bit more of a deep dive into what all of this means for Kings of War.

This is exciting; the rumours and leaks out there give some interesting changes on the horizon but it is fun to see Mantic putting some oomph into the reveals.

Kings of war 1st edition was a good game, 2nd made it balanced and 3rd introduced more character, with each edition an improvement on the last I look forwards to the next iteration!

@greenman1400 You are spot on. I played mostly 1st (and maybe 3 games in 2nd ed.) and now 3rd edition, and the progression has been exactly as you said. I have come to really love 3rd and I honestly hope 4th will make the game better.
