Catan is so nice. I played it a lot, the board game and the two player card game and it was really fun.

No one was ever shot for selecting Catan for their choice. Up there with Ticket to Ride and Carcasonne for me as one of the best games ever.

I had never played Catan until yesterday when the very helpful Steph taught me and my lad George the basics using the junior edition. Result being we’re hooked! Also going to now try the other old firm favourite Ticket to ride, what can I say, I’m a war gamer at heart but I am maturing in my old age!!

I love that they’ve ported it to Start Trek.

Catan is a great gateway game but can be unbalanced. I still recommend that people should play it once even though there are not better modern games available.

Classic Catana with the Seafarers expansion has always been a favourite of mine. Great to see this boardgame still going strong 🙂

What I really love about Catan is how anyone can play it, an amazing game for any gamer.

Here we are on the third and final day. It’s been a long weekend but for anyone who attended apparently a fun one. However, since it is the final day then it’s my last chance to shamelessly post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve ever played.

Surely everyone plays this already, guess it’s still a propular gateway game for people coming into this industry, personally it’s a stand I always ignore as basic caftan is fine, all the themes don’t make the game anymore enjoyable.

I love my copy of star trek catan. It also removes the need to say ‘Got wood for sheep?” which is a huge bonus.
