Progress Update With Martin

Martin is another of the folks here who has gone with the Daqan force on the tabletop. He has gone with the more standard scheme that you'll see in the artwork and throughout the rulebook.

How do you think his work is looking right now?

Looking good, I’ve never tried brushing on the Quick Shade from the tin, did a lot of dipping before the small dropper bottles came out and always had one figure that flew off the grips and needed repainting.

His Rune Golem looks great, even with the shine of the quickshade still on. High time to get my hands on some new paint pots to get my own game painted.

That’s good everyone always thinks grey for the golem but Martin did tan for a sandstone effect.

I bought some Army Painter shades a little while ago. Hoping to try them out this weekend! Looks great!

That quickshade is a fantastic tool. It helped me a lot in painting my oh-so-numerous ork boyz… 180 to go…

Yesterday Martin had the talk about the discipline, and today he is using the quick shade in a very good looking army. What are the people of Army Painter waiting for to give this man an official T-shirt?

big fan of the color scheme and application. Battle worn, but crisp and bright for the good guys. Very thematic.

I like the Water bases shades in the droppers, but only because they are water based.

That’s the right attitude. Learn a new technique to add to the tool box. Nice work too!

great looking stuff, and that is the way how i would do it, with a brush. And that golem looks amazing.

They’re looking very nice, I wonder howmatt the quick shade dries as I’ve never used it myself.
I also need to complement Martin on what is a fantastic mustache, been watching parks and rec recently, very Swansonesque.
