Help Put Out The Great Fire Of London!

Medusa Games joined us once again to talk about one of their games which is working its way back onto shelves in the near future, The Great Fire Of London.

This fantastic semi-cooperative game looks like it could be a lot of fun. I particularly liked the fact that they have some hidden agenda mechanics mixed in there too.

I’m a sucker for old maps, so this game is so up my street it’s unreal.

I’ve played this at a friends, it seems a little complicated at first, but once you get stuck in it’s fairly straight forward, but lots of depth and fun to be had protecting your properties and getting it to burn down your opponents’. So I’d recommend getting your hands on a copy once they re-release.

Looks like a fun game, but I would hope for a little better component quality for a second edition.

Here we are on the third and final day. It’s been a long weekend but for anyone who attended apparently a fun one. However, since it is the final day then it’s my last chance to shamelessly post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve ever played.

Played a demo of this, it was alright for a one-off game, felt a bit old though like an original version of Monopoly that you grandparents had, not sure I’d rush to pick this up

The only thing better than an agenda is a hidden agenda

An interesting piece of history and gaming in one. I wonder if they could do a great fire of chicago or San Francisco for a US version.

More games could use a hidden objective. Its something I’d be interested to see added to Warmachine alongside steamroller.
