The Maindstone Wargames Society have an absolutely awesome gaming table set up here at Salute where they are showcasing The Battle Of Britain but in 1/300 scale. The game uses some awesome mechanics where you move from square to square, plugging your flight stand (which gives a sense of scale) into each spot as you go. It should be a tense game with quick and easy mechanics but plenty of depth too.
That’s a stunning table. I’ve never been to Salute but I suspect the participation games put on by clubs are the best part.
