It's great to see the love for Battletech is still alive. It sounds like There's a refresh for the game in the near future, which means my son is going to be so excited!
I agree. Played this as a kid. Still have the original box set. Brilliant game.

I used to play a much older version of BattleTech. We used Printed Cardboard representations for the mechs, it was a blast back then. I might have to give this a try some day.
Looking to get the new stuff when it drops… Now if only crimson skies could come back
Ah, the first tabletop miniatures game I ever played. Totally opened the door to the hobby for me.

The best thing about Battletech is that you can have a 8 v 8 battle and play the same game from the opening of Adepticon to the closing.
It was my first game I own about 50 mechs but I do not miss the 1980s ruleset and rather play something else.
That said, glad to see it represented because it is the game that got me into miniatures.

some really good news, Updated rules would be cool. Need a faster gameplay.
Is it finally out? Waiting for a new edition since years now.
Not out yet. They don’t have a hard date yet, but they’re pretty hopeful that it’ll be by this fall and available at Gen Con.

It’s a game that somehow passed me by. I did have a scale model mech in the 80s and loved it (amazing I paid out for it as the shop also sold Citadel Lord of the Rings minis – my main obsession at the time)
This is were it all escalated with me.
I never got into it, no one I knew ever played it, but people rave about this game! About as close as I got were the PC games of the 90’s…

I would love to see new Battletech. The old models are fine, but knowing how advances in technology have made other games look so much better, I can’t wait to see the new sculpts.
