You can pick up the book but most of the minis are out of stock via Battlefront or Caliver Books in the UK for Nam and have been for some time. So it’ll be a pass.
who says you need the official minis ?
What about other companies that use this scale ?
Because not everybody wants to jump through the hoops and go through five different antediluvian metal-slingers that only have photos for half of their minis, the other half having sculpt quality straight out of 1995, especially when the rulebook publishers did use to have a range of official minis.
The minis for this range were pretty awful; the NVA had sculpted “stars” that were more like lumpy headlamps. Vehicles were decent though.
I remember how Battlefront released an NVA starter for Vietnam that was all just tanks. Look, I love T-54/55 more than the next guy, a lot more, but that’s ridiculous.
