Battlefront are currently taking pre-orders for their new twist on World War III, Checkpoint Charlie. To get you started in this era of the 1960s and 1970s, Battlefront has a Limited Edition M48 Patton Tank Company for the United States.

For those wondering, Checkpoint Charlie takes a step back in time from the 1980s to a couple of decades before, when another What If? scenario has blown up around the world. You'll still have access to a lot of the nations that you're familiar with, including the Americans, West Germans and Soviets but you can also start to explore forces from the Middle East and Vietnam, befitting the 1960s and 1970s period.

The United States leads the way with their M48 Patton Tank Company (alongside a myriad of other releases), which features a seriously tricked-out armoured force.
