Brand New Miniatures & More For Guards Of Traitor’s Toll!
October 9, 2025 by brennon
Grey For Now Games is now taking pre-orders for a whole new wave of releases for their 28mm Fantasy skirmish game, Guards of Traitor's Toll. A wave of recruits, heroes and sinister citizens are making their way to the cobblestones for some scuffles in the streets.
Guardhouse Heroes // Guards of Traitor's Toll
We start with the Guardhouse Heroes box, which comes with a set of notable characters, dramatis personae, you might say, for throwing into your games of Guards of Traitor's Toll. You'll get to lead from the front with the inspiring Captain Bellough or chase down suspects on horseback with Sergeant Krustin. You could also join up with Perricule and Lug, a very interesting pair of sleuths who bring together brains and brawn.

This set also comes with new Advance cards that will give your guards some extra equipment to keep them alive in the field. Perhaps prepare an Ice Storm Spell Scroll or get your hands on a Potion of Flight. You'll also get a suite of new skills for you to use when levelling up your guards. Show them who's boss!
Sinister Citizens!
You're going to need those new heroes because there are an awful lot of Sinister Citizens wandering the streets of Traitor's Toll right now...
Sinisters Citizens // Guards of Traitor's Toll
I'd trust these folks about as far as I could throw them and that ain't far at all! Each of the new characters comes with a Major Plot and a series of Secrets that unfold over the course of the scenario. For example, you could run into the Clumsy Apprentice who has dropped all their spellbooks, causing chaos in the streets. There is also the Pale, Handsome Stranger, who is, as Grey For Now Games says, "a pain in the neck". Get it?

You also have the Little Lost Child, Kai-an the Assassin, a Spectral Soldier and the dubious Polly the Pie Maker. That is certainly sausage meat in those pies. You also get a whole host of additional Plots and Secrets for you to unleash on Traitor's Toll and your overwhelmed Guards.
Fresh Meat
You will also be able to get a set of New Recruits who are ready for you to throw into the meat grinder. Make sure that they do all of the menial work, like cleaning out the toilets. The really stinky ones, too.
New Recruits // Guards of Traitor's Toll
This set allows you to add some variety to your guards, stepping away from an all-human cast with the addition of a new Halfling and Dwarf. You will also get another Human who is trying to keep their Attack Animal from going off the leash and causing more paperwork for your superiors.
I love how genuinely fun the range from Grey For Now Games is for Guards of Traitor's Toll. With a sea of very serious games out there, it's good to have a game out there which is just fun and quirky. We need more of that, keeping the tone light when you're sitting down to play games with your friends, rather than overly competitive. It helps that this ticks so many boxes as a Discworld fan!
Hardback Rulebook
Finally, we also have the addition of a new luxurious Hardback Rulebook for Guards of Traitor's Toll.
Hardback Rulebook // Guards of Traitor's Toll
This book comes in a larger format and is packed with all of the rules (which have been updated with errata and clarifications) plus a whole host of new photos. You'll also find thirty-two extra pages covering design work from the development of Guards of Traitor's Toll, PLUS five short stories written by a mix of talented authors, including the famous Graham McNeill. A real treat for someone who already has everything for Guards of Traitor's Toll and would like something nice to show off on the shelf.
Wave 2 Bundle // Guards of Traitor's Toll
Don't forget, there is also a bundle option so you can get everything from Wave Two in one place!
Could you be tempted to dive deeper into this game with the new wave of releases?

“Pain in the neck” oh I see what they did there XD
Also I really dig the fact you can get a starter deal without minis. Great jumping in point for people with “already too many fantasy minis” XD. But can anybody explain to me what they mean by “Dual Use Plastic Bases”? The just look like simple round bases with a hole in the middle? oO
The dual use is you can have them one way up to use as regular bases e.g. if the mini doesn’t have a puddle base or turn them over and put a puddle base mini in a slight hole with a lip, build it up with putty or favoured basing slurry to have the puddle base be less obvious.
I’ve stopped overthinking basing to that extent but it’s kinda neat.
That was a terrible explanation. Google images paint a thousand (better) words.
Explanation was good. I understand what you mean. Thanks 🙂
There the Wargames atlantic 25mm bases, magnet hole in center, one side flat with a slight texture, otherside indented like a Waaahlard games base intended for minis with puddles.
Great concept, not great execution, they have a mould like right around the base rim thats a pain, and the magnet doesnt work in the indented puddle base mode unless you buy very slim magnets.
I’d buy the wave 2 cards. Don’t need another bunch of resin minis, nice as they are.
Looks like Ankh-Morprok’s City Watch re-imagined although no lady werewolves !
( 2nd attempt )

Another nice round of minis and really like the hardback book. None of my wave one pre-order has made it out the box yet but it is good to see that game doing well.
I really want the miniatures for building another Mordhiem team! 👍
