Add Brigade’s Highlanders To The American War Of Independence
July 18, 2025 by brennon
Brigade Games has worked with the talented sculptor Paul Hicks to produce a new range of miniatures for use with their American War of Independence range. You can now get a range of Highlanders in different poses for use in your skirmish and mass battle 28mm wargames.
Highlander Command // Brigade Games
The miniatures from Brigade come in a number of different poses but we'll start off with the Command set above, which gives you your officers, musicians and standard bearers for your regiments. As always, when it comes to what Paul sculpts, the details are on point and there's plenty of detail in there for you to get stuck into.
From there, the world is very much your oyster and you can pick and choose a mixture of different packs which come with Highlanders in various poses.
Highlanders Charging // Brigade Games
You can get them Firing, Charging, Skirmishing and Marching, so there's plenty there for those who want to make dynamic regiments but also set-ups for use in diorama. I am always a fan of skirmishing miniatures, especially for this period, as I like seeing them in action poses as opposed to them all neatly arrayed, marching to war.

Highlanders Marching // Brigade Games
As well as the regular Highlanders, you can also get your hands on a couple of sets of Highlander Grenadiers.
Highlander Grenadiers Marching // Brigade Games
These sets aren't quite as extensive but you get options to have your Grenadiers Marching (above) and Firing (check out the webstore). This means you can slip a few more options into the mix for your armies and get them at the ready to have a pop at those upstart Americans.
All of the miniatures are, as I'm sure you've seen here, lovely and could end up being a nice addition to an existing army for the period.
What do you make of Brigade Games' new Highlanders?
