New Flying Italians Hit The Battlefield For Warlord’s Konflikt ’47
October 15, 2018 by brennon
Taking to the skies above Europe and beyond, the Italians of Warlord Games' Konflikt '47 are bringing forth the Italian Firefly Paracadutisti Infantry Squad.
The Italians are now fighting on the side of the Allies in Konflikt '47 and that meant that they got access to some of the best technology they can offer. They are focused on attacking enemies in close quarters, diving into the thick of it and overwhelming an objective with their SMGs and grenade launchers.
It's neat to see another of the factions from Konflikt '47 getting updated and tweaked with new models. It makes the game a much more attractive prospect, especially if you've got a bunch of models lying around for Bolt Action and want to find a new excuse to use them on the tabletop.
Are you making a Weird World War Italian army?

Granted I am a huge proponent of Clockwork and Konflikt 47, but I’ll say I’ve been supremely impressed with their recent metal sculpts. People seem overly obsessed with plastic these days, but for niche games like Konflikt, with lots of varied units and armies, there will never be the demand cover the overhead required in plastic mould creation.
I recently built the German Shocktroopers, and they were a dream to assemble. Most figs were 1-2 pieces, and most pieces were sculpted to easily slot into place, so I didn’t even have to hold anything as the glue dried. Enough poses existed that things still felt varied enough given they are elite units that you won’t have many of in an army.
The other reason I like Konlikt over BA is the ability to draw in more nations/forces. As they’ve added the Finns and the Italians, and the Soviets split from the other allies, it gets over the initial issue of historical games of getting enough Germans to avoid playing just blue-on-blue games, and expanding the available forces.
i’m guessing that they fly faster backwards than they do forwards
Those look good.
because the wworld needs more flying Italians. 😀 . Seriously though ,I love these …. I think I have to scdule my German starter to be painted next year and get in the game …obviously they’ve moved along as the Italians were not one of the armies in the rule book , nor were they in the first supplement….. paint faster beardragon … paint faster
The article title sounds like they should be a trapeze troupe.
