Keep Your Minis Warm With Weave Of War’s Realistic Cloaks!
August 11, 2025 by brennon
If you don't fancy the idea of having to paint the cloaks on your miniatures and want something a bit more realistic, have you considered checking out Weave of War? They are new on the block and provide fabric cloaks for your 28mm wargaming miniatures!
Campaign Cloaks // Weave of War
There are some very nice plastic cloaks now amongst the various plastic ranges we have access to but they can be a real pain to paint, especially if you want to do something swanky like tartan. That's where Campaign Cloaks from Weave of War step into the breach!
These cloaks are crafted from natural fibres and come ready for you to apply to your miniatures with a few basic hobby tools and a bit of glue. As well as looking nice, especially in the tartan that you see here, they will also flow and move with the posing of your miniatures, so you don't have to struggle with a rigid plastic cloak.

If this has already piqued your interest, there are eight different cloak packs for you to choose from. Each comes with a mixture of cloaks that you can use for enhancing your miniatures, perhaps for that budding Pillage army that you've just built for your Historical wargames over the next few months.

Weave of War has also put together a couple of videos showcasing how to apply these realistic cloaks to your miniatures and how to weather them effectively.

Have a watch of the videos, as it might give you an idea as to whether or not you're going to dive in and pick these up for yourself. I think this is a brilliant idea and it should end up making a lot of warbands for Dark Age wargames look very swanky indeed. A lot of SAGA and Pillage wargamers just cried out in joy.
Are you going to be picking up some of the Campaign Cloaks?

Lovely idea
If they can add realistic kilts for Perry’s 3rd Foot and Mouth (which for some reason they called “Black Watch in Sudan”) they can take my money. Great idea!
A great collection to look over. I will assume these guys will be hitting it big like Little Big Man Studios did to fill a niche. They have found a workaround to the technical problem of tartan paint. Perhaps the frequency is too close to Ludicrous speed for use to process where this is something we can see.
I assume @brennon that Badgerface is already in your cart.
You’ve now reminded me that I could use these on my Clan Beasts in Burrows & Badgers…oh dear.
I bought some of these this morning after they kept popping up on my FB and Insta feeds. They processed the order same day which is good. I’ll let you know what I think when they get here.
