Face The Mysterious Pale Of Crooked Dice’s Colony 87!

Crooked Dice previewed even more of the awesome miniatures coming to their 28mm Sci-Fi range, Colony 87. This time, we get to take a peek at the mysterious Pale, who will be joining the Kickstarter campaign that's on the horizon.

Pale Mistcrafter // Crooked Dice

These miniatures were an idea by Will Beck and Dave Needham, which were then sculpted by Ari Nielsson with great expertise. This is another of the alien races for the Colony 87 setting, which could end up being villainous or eager allies depending on your point of view.

Pale Shard Prospector // Crooked Dice

They have been described as a nocturnal species in the teaser, which would probably account for their name and their skin colour! I really like the design of the Pale, which harks back to some of the concept art that you could easily have seen popping up for Sci-Fi movies and TV shows during the 70s and 80s.

Pale Weaponsmith // Crooked Dice

There's something uncanny and ethereal about the Pale, which should be fun for storytelling when exploring games of 7TV and beyond. The Colony 87 is also absolutely primed for those who want to expand their Stargrave collection with lots of new, fun aliens.

Pale Whisperer // Crooked Dice

You can't tell me that the Pale Whisperer (above) isn't perfect for some odd sage-turned-villain on a dark and forgotten spaceship somewhere. I think it helps that the painting by Matthew Leahy really brings them to life and gets you thinking about all sorts of fun scenarios.
