Red Bard Games are back on Kickstarter with a brand new project to fulfil plenty more Oldhammer dreams. This time, they are taking on Sci-Fi with some great new 28mm scale Space Amazons for you to use in your miniature wargames.

As part of this campaign, Red Bard Games is launching a complete Space Amazons army, alongside hopefully some special miniatures to use as mercenaries alongside them. At the core of the campaign are the Amazons themselves, clad in their Sci-Fi battle armour and looking to kick ass and take names.

The standard troops are armed with their laser rifles but you'll also notice a flamer in the mix alongside a choice of heavy weapons for when you need to take down a tank or terrible alien beastie. You also have the interchangeable heads, so you can mix and match your units to give you plenty of variety.

Supporting the advance of your regular infantry, you also have the choice of Artillery Teams.

This set comes with the equivalent of a missile launcher, a gatling gun and something that fires unknowable energy ammunition that is sure to turn you inside out when it hits you. Each piece of artillery has been designed to match that classic Oldhammer vibe of everything being that little bit squat. You also have the crew to fire the artillery on the battlefield.

Watching over proceedings, you also have access to the Command Group. This features a great set of characters.

The Commander with her pet is excellent and I am a big fan of the Standard Bearer, too. You also have to doff the cap to Red Bard Games for that ace Holomap. That will be excellent for use in your dioramas.

No Sci-Fi army can get far without the addition of some heavy support and that's where the Vulture Walker comes in.

Harking back to the classic look of old Warhammer Dreadnoughts and Sentinels, this is a prime cut of nostalgia. It's slightly uncanny in its design but I think a lot of folks are going to really appreciate this and it's inclusion as part of this new army.

If you back the Kickstarter campaign, you will also get access to the Field Commander exclusive miniature. I wonder if she has a touch of Napoleon Syndrome?

There are ways for you to pick up individual packs of miniatures alongside Army Deals and the Starter Pack, which gives you a great stepping stone into collecting an ace Oldhammer-themed army for your Sci-Fi wargames.

Stretch Goals are going to include more characters and the chance to get your hands on some Beast Mercenaries! This could be a great chance for you to sink your teeth into a bit of nostalgia-inspired awesomeness.
