North Star Preview Warriors Of Athena Miniatures For 2026
December 22, 2025 by brennon
North Star Military Figures announced that they would be supporting Joseph A. McCullough's next Fantasy wargame, Warriors of Athena, with a suite of 28mm scale miniatures. Well, we got a few previews of what those miniatures will end up looking like in their latest newsletter tease.
Minotaur // Warriors of Athena
We got a look at some classics of Greek Mythology that will be popping up for you to skirmish with, including a rather happy-looking minotaur. He seems ready to give you a sock around the chops with those fists before chasing you out of his labyrinth.
Another of the miniatures from the preview was for this charging centaur and a satyr who is going to give you a good clubbing! Some great foes/friends, depending on how your adventures go in Warriors of Athena.

A little morsel of extra information was then revealed by North Star over on social media. Whilst the centaur pictured here won't be in plastic, there are plans for a plastic set for the range. I would hope that, since we're getting plastic centaurs, we might also be getting other plastic kits to support the game.

I'm sure that we'll get a few more previews and teasers for what North Star has planned in the new year, as the release of Warriors of Athena isn't actually that far away. With a release date at the end of February, it will be fun to see what North Star has in store and what gets released as part of that initial wave of releases.
Are you eager to see what Warriors of Athena has to offer?

Hmmmm…I’m very very tempted to get the minotaur and then kit bash a raincoat on him just so I can turn him into a flasher.
Yep, grind off that tuft and sculpt on what he’s really got going on downtown. 😂
nice stuff
The Minotaur?
So that explains it… the whole spool of string that was used to map the labyrinth was really a thread from the minotaurs robe and as it unravelled… he was… revealed…
😂👍
Hanging’ out with my Minotaur-sized wang out! RAWR!
Well, if you’ve got it – flaunt it.
This game is my pick for my new project of 2026. I’m happy enough with what I can see in this limited preview of the miniatures. Like others, I think it is a pity to shy away from an anatomical sculpt of the Minotaur but I understand why they have chosen this option given the limited marketing options for a ‘correct’ sculpt.
I love the look on the Cyclops’s face: “Oh, why do I even BOTHER?” Dude couldn’t be any more put-out by all this nonsense.
I think he has Minotaur tufty envy!
Yeahhhh…I don’t think so. Its the other way around. Look at the cyclops again…that’s not actually a rock he’s holding…
😂
