Pillage Victrix Miniatures’ Dark Age Farm Animals Soon
October 17, 2025 by brennon
Pillage from Victrix Miniatures is out there in the wild, a great Dark Age skirmish game where you (as you might have guessed) do some pillaging and raiding! To aid your games and add some flavour to the mix, Victrix will soon be releasing their Farm Animals!
Donkeys // Victrix Miniatures
An important part of scuppering the chances of your enemy succeeding is to take out their supplies. Farms throughout the land provided a great target and rather than just having tokens on the tabletop, you could actually feature some great plastic miniatures with this upcoming Victrix set.
Geese // Victrix Miniatures
Victrix has been doing as much work on the animals that you see here as they normally put into their human kits! Because the Dark Age and Medieval breeds were different from what we know today, research had to be done so that they could match the creatures to the 8th to 12th Century, when Pillage is set.
Chickens // Victrix Miniatures
Victrix has recently been working rather hard on Donkeys, Geese, Chickens, Sheep, Cows, Goats, Pigs and Horses, which will all end up being part of this set (see below) in the end.
Farm Animals // Victrix Miniatures
All of these miniatures will be in hard plastic and should be coming out towards the end of the year. It should be just as fun painting up these Farm Animals as it is working on your warbands and if nothing else, it will give you a break! Are you going to be checking out these when they end up being released, for use in Pillage and beyond?

A DUCK!
What also floats in water?
– Bread. – Apples.
– Very small rocks. – Cider! Great gravy.
– Cherries. Mud. – Churches.
– Lead. – A duck!
– Exactly.
– So, logically–
– If she weighs the same as a duck…
– she’s made of wood.
– And therefore?
– A witch!
– A duck! A duck! – Here’s a duck.
– We shaIl use my largest scales.
– Burn the witch !
– Remove the supports!
– A witch!
Nice asses
ass in spades
I’m surprised no one has produced a plastic set of Dark/medieval farm animals before. So many skirmish rule scenarios of this period call for suitable models. I will be picking these up for sure.
Warlord Games have those in plastic : https://eu.warlordgames.com/products/farmyard-animals
I got one sprue from some retailer years ago (for the cats and the dog), but the farm animals are quite nice too 🙂
Hm. Tempting, for sure…
I won’t make a ‘goose of myself’ and ‘chicken out’. I’ll be purchasing a set or two of these.
Well done Victrix!
the most dangerous farm animals on the planet : a flock of geese …
We call Canadian Geese “hissing cobra chickens” because in the spring they become pure unadulterated evil.
Definitely grabbing these.
