Join The Plains War With Brigade Games’ New Apache Warriors
March 7, 2025 by brennon
Brigade Games expanded their collection of 28mm miniatures for fighting out the Plains War. The most recent set of miniatures come from the talented hand of Paul Hicks (or one of his clones) and there are some great Apache for you to choose from!
Apace Warriors Command // Brigade Games
Leading the way is the Warriors Command set, which comes with six metal miniatures that would be great for a range of different games. The variety of poses means that you could drop a few of these into the mix, leading different units or warbands on the tabletop. I particularly like the fellow giving a call on the right of the image (above) and the fellow next to him taking a well aimed shot at someone in his sights.
The Command miniatures above could then be used to lead these Warriors who are also available at the moment across two different sets.

Apace Warriors set #1 and #2 give you a great selection of core troops for your warbands if you're going to be playing a lot of skirmish games. Hit and run tactics were something of a favourite amongst the Apache, so these would fit the bill. The majority are armed with rifles with the addition of some revolvers in there as well, so they have clearly traded up, been given these weapons or stolen them to use against their enemies.
Two packs of Mounted miniatures are also available from Brigade Games, which you could add to the horses of your choice. If you have some of the horses from Wargames Atlantic, then you're sorted!

Much like with the Warriors pack, they are all individual sculpts, which is perfect for those diving into skirmish games. They are primed for a raid or two behind enemy lines where they need to get out of their sharpish should the favourable conditions change.
If you like the Plains War period then you can dive into quite the extensive selection of miniatures from Brigade Games and Paul Hicks HERE.
What do you make of these Apache Warriors that recently joined their collection?

Nice looking stuff
I don’t like the label of Plains Wars for the Apaches. They fought in a distinctly different manner and for the most part didn’t live on the plains. Their culture is also significantly different. Plains Wars largely refer to the fighting in central Texas vs the Comanches, north Texas Kiowa, and Nebraska/Dakotas/Montana/Wyoming vs the Lakota, Cheyenne, and Arapaho.
