Écorcheurs! is a set of skirmish wargaming rules designed for you to fight small actions between retinues of warriors during the Hundred Years' War period. You can take on the role of England, her allies and the French covering the period of 1337 and 1453.

When you dive into Écorcheurs!, you're playing games with between twenty and four miniatures that could range from 15mm and 28mm in scale. Every game is scenario-driven with a focus on the leader's ability to command the prowess of warriors in combat. This is twinned with innovative melee rules by Robert W. Jones, which match the realities and back and forth of Medieval combat, drawn from years of experience.

The game rewards you for thinking tactically and there's a great set of additional rules within Écorcheurs! which explores the chivalric code of Medieval knights and how that impacts the flow of gameplay on the tabletop. Inside the book, you'll find all of the core rules, suggested builds for retinues, a set of scenarios and a mini-campaign focused on Edward III's 1346 campaign that led to the Battle of Crécy.

Gripping Beast are also taking pre-orders for the dice, tokens and several different retinues that could get you started in the game.
