The Syenann Burst From The Woods For Corvus Belli’s Warcrow

As well as expanding on the world of Infinity, Corvus Belli has also been looking to introduce new miniatures AND a new faction to the Fantasy world of Warcrow. The Syenann are making themselves known, bursting forth from the woods to do battle with interlopers.

At the core of the new releases coming in April, is the Syenann Action Pack, which will give you a very solid starting point for anyone looking to choose the Elves of Corvus Belli's Fantasy world.

The Syenann are shadows, masters of harassment and ambush. They deploy into the fighting in shock attacks, relentlessly focusing on a target before vanishing back into the shadows. Think of them as a little bit of a glass cannon when it comes to Warcrow.

It also helps that the Syenann miniatures look absolutely gorgeous...

The set comes with the fantastic Druid but also a whole host of hunters, all with their own tactical approach to combat. I really like the glorious leaves that you see throughout the miniature collection being used as cloaks. This, combined with the bark-like armour, gives you a real impression of the aesthetic we're going to be seeing expanded as the Syenanns grow as a range.

Blades In The Dark

As well as the Action Pack that serves as a good starting point for the Syenann, you are also going to be able to pick up some elite troops in the form of the Grove Curtailers.

Striking from the gloom, the Grove Curtailers are a really nice new set of miniatures featuring blades in each hand, set up for some close combat brutality. Again, the miniatures look gorgeous and there's a neat mixture of both "wooden" and leaf-like armour. All of the ropes and straps also help add to the overall feel of the army.

I think there is plenty of space for those wanting to play with tattoos and warpaint on their Syenann miniatures. It's nice that we're already getting such a diverse and different faction for the Warcrow universe that, in of itself, plays around with the standard "Wood Elf" aesthetic in unique ways.
