Wargames Atlantic has previewed more of the work going into their collaboration with Golden Dragon Games for the Dieselpunk wargame, Marcher: Empires at War. The United States miniatures are in the middle of production and fulfilment for the crowdfunder.

United States GI Infantry - Marcher

United States G.I. Infantry // Marcher: Empire at War

The first three plastic sets for the United States are looking great and act as a good basis for those wanting to start an army in Marcher, especially if you missed out on the Gamefound campaign. For example, the G.I. Infantry is a twenty-miniature set packed with options for your rank and file.

As you can see, you get a bunch of bodies, legs, head options and your core weapons for building your G.I. units. I like the shoulder pads with some of the squad and rank markings on them in particular, plus the bonus accessories like grenades and daggers, which you can take or leave.

Leading the way, ahead of the G.I. Infantry, you can also get your hands on the US Veterans and Command soon.

US Veterans and Command - Marcher

US Veterans and Command // Marcher: Empire at War

This set gives you twelve miniatures, a bit like some of their sets for Death Fields, offering up command options and heroes to lead the way ahead of squads and as your overall leaders.

This comes with a lot more weapon options for your command staff and the veterans leading your units. As well as ranged weapons, you also have melee weapons like swords. You'll also notice some heavy weapons in the mix. Less gung-ho command elements are also available, including options for your banner bearers and medics. They do just as important work on the battlefield.

With this being a Dieselpunk wargame, the United States also get access to some seriously awesome mech-suits/hardsuits/walkers. See what you think of the USA X19A2 Badger Hardsuits.

These hulking, power-armoured figures are able to carry weapons that would normally be mounted on tanks, stomping into battle as bullets ping off their plate armour. Mow down infantry and take on armoured targets from the relative safety of your hardsuit.

You even have some melee options, as you can see above. I love the idea of a big, clanking hardsuit with an axe and shields, carving its way through ranks of infantry and lightly armoured targets. Maybe after it has just smashed its way through a wall, covered in dust. You even get the heads for the pilots if you want to avoid helmets.

More Plastic Sets Incoming

If you checked out our previous coverage of Marcher: Empire at War, you'll know that there is a full two-player game coming out of the Gamefound campaign (HERE) and that means we're going to be getting the plastic sets for the Holy Roman Empire as well as the United States.

You can still Late Pledge for the Gamefound campaign if you don't want to wait for the miniatures to be made available at Wargames Atlantic. I would imagine it won't be long until we get the previews for those Holy Roman Empire miniatures, which could change your mind!

What do you think of the new plastics?
