About the Project
Due to a life getting in the way i never have time to enter any of the Terrain Challenges or even get involver in the forums as much as i like, and still don't have the time. so i thought for my Terrain Challenge why not let it build itself!! about two years ago i backed a Kickstarter by Z1Design whom had designed a modular modern day, 3D printable Buildings. I've only just got my 3D printer going and why not whits I'm at work have it build my Terrain Challenge for me HA HA HA. i hope to keep you all updater on my progress, troubles and successes as my work horse of a 3D printer churns through the filament and i can show what can be made. keeping it on topic. i will be making a tourist of American city style apartments t use in my games off Walking Dead, DC Universe and Fallout. the major thing i will need to contend with is time, for me to have time to keep up with the project and the time it takes to print everything to build this project. hope you all keep with me on my first ever Project, Terrain Challenge and first major forum posts.

ICE CREAM VAN!!!!
Have Shown my Billboard before but now I’ve added some advising, i decide to add a layer behind the main Ad to show through as i wanted to make some of the sheets from the front had pealed away to show behind.
i applied the first layer with PVA and gave i a crush over the top as well
then applied the full Ad over the top in the same way
you maybe able to see lines over the top of the image, this is to denote the individual panels that would of been applied to the billboard to make the image. i have used a knife and cut along the lines and pealed away the parts to show whats behind swell as distress the edges and corners to give some weathering.
OH and yes i have graffited over the to as well
AND YES the Graffiti dose read.
In the event of a zombie apocalypse find a Ice-cream van, You will be safe there.
little one for Warren and Justin.
Black Out
Using the army painter matt black i painted the top of each floor to black out the walls to clean up the visible surface at the tops of the walls
First Build.
First Build of all the painted parts to see what is left to do.
Layout starting to take shape
Final Ally Painted.
My Favourite part painted The Ally.
i decided to ad some additional details to this part including the rust effect where the bins have been siting over time swell as the drag makes from when the bins would have been pulled to the truck. added that exist detail that make the area come together.
on the sidewalk..
Painting the sidewalks. Using a soft tone in the airbrush i darkened where the sidewalk meets the buildings to show the grim swell patching out in black and white mess left by birds and giving more of a texture to the surface. Gives such a great effect,
Also you can see that i have done the same to the concert stairs.
Building and Painting Sub-Assembles
Sub-Assembles built to help make the paint transition better over multiple sections.
Adding Bricks..
Now time to add red to the bricks. a long part of the painting stage.
I’ve uses a spunge to apply the paint to help speed up the proses of applying the paint.
