About the Project

A friend of mine purchased a Dreadnaught from eBay and asked me if I would give it a refreshed paint job, I want to try a grim dark style and this was the result.

Well, this was an unexpected surprise but obviously very chuffed to win a button and it has certainly been a while. It is things like this that spur you on to do more and I really enjoyed this little project.

I will say the hardest part of the project was handing it back to my friend when it was done because I actually really liked the end result and would have happily added it to my collection.

Never feel the camera does quite capture the model at its best, I guess I need some lessons on doing it right. But these are just some static images of where I have left it.

In this video, I break down the stream into something far shorter and talk through each step as I do it. I am really happy with the result.

About 2 and half hours if you fancy sitting through it I take this miniature from where it was to pretty much complete. Combination of base, layer and AK interactive streaking grim I work my way around the model and hopefully bring it up a level.

My friend (video below) purchase a Warhammer 40k Dreadnaught from eBay and whilst it was painted it was basic with a very flat colour and not much definition.

I was asked to take a look at the miniature and see what I could do with it.

I decided I want to take this very white clean mini and try out a grim dark style on it, something I have never done before.
