Stage The Perfect RPG With Adventure Realm Map Tiles From Red Dragon
December 7, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
Red Dragon Tabletop Gaming has come out with a great little project to instantly enhance the storyline for whatever world you are exploring in your RPG with their Adventure Realm Role Playing Game Map Tiles.
This is a set of sixteen, full-colour, double-sided map tiles with a one-inch grid on them.
This not only instantly adds beautiful color and details to your setting, but also allows for use of a dry erase marker for whatever other details you feel it needs.
This Town and Wilderness Set includes: Two floors of a tavern, two floors of a mansion, blacksmith, stables, temple, graveyard, guardhouse, small shops, small housing, five town road sections, four open grassland tiles, two grassland with crags, three woodland tiles, four road tiles, ruined building, peasant's hut and an outdoor camp.
What do you think of this creative concept for your RPG's?

I’ve been waiting for a company to do this for AAAAGES! I play frost grave but don’t have room for terrain so we mash together all our 1″ squared dungeon tiles from all our dungeon crawlers so this is a perfect range to expand on that tradition.
Thanks for plugging our project. We ran this as a Kickstarter, which finished at the start of November, and now have the map tiles in stock for sale to the general public. We’re really pleased with how they have come out, and we recently ran a game with our own RPG group and they helped so much. At one point we had the players pursuing a thief through the streets, and the tiles allowed us to just keep adding to our map, with the thief running through back alleys, into houses, across bar room tables, jumping out of windows – it was fantastic fun.
We are aiming to expand the range over time, and are hoping that a Castles and Dungeons set will be on Kickstarter some time in the spring, with Dungeons, Sea/Shore/Ships, Lairs and more to come after that. Any future sets we develop will work with the others, so the Castle walls will work with the town maps, the dungeons will work for spaces under the town, caves will have entrances that seamlessly work with the wilderness and so on.
Anyway, I could say more, but if you want to know more just visit our website. We have plenty of sets in stock, we ship worldwide, and there is still time to order and get the tiles in time for Christmas – http://reddragongaming.co.uk/adventurerealm.html
I did the design and art work on the above tiles and just wanted to add to our post above in that a great deal of thinking went into making these not only to make them the most usable, but re-usable tiles over and over again. Nic and I both DM our own groups as well as DM our own kids through adventures and these tiles evolved from maps used for both. We have added enough ‘scenery’ detail that certain objects or items could become part of the narrative yet not enough to give you a fixed setting that wouldn’t be easy to place in any town the adventurers visit.
please check out our Adventure Realm page for more images of the set, but also a free downloadable extras pdf for you to print and cut out to use in your adventures.
looks like a brilliant idea instant map with a great variety of versions.
