I wish CB would work with one of their partners to offer proper neoprene versions of the battle mats from the boxes. The art is beautiful but the fold lines ruin the effect. If not neoprene, could they sell them rolled in a tube?

Wow. Cracking set of models and a greater starter set. I think it’s great that they always include a good bunch of terrain in their starter sets, really helps with the buy in.
That Streloks K9 unit is insane, I need to know if that will be a LE sculpt so I can judge my need to get this

These figures are awesome. Love the new Aleph figures. The terrain is always handy to have. Especially if you want to play a quick game. There is enough of those terrain sets to make really cool tables with lots of variation in design.

Somewhat boring weapon selection/unit type selection, but it makes a good core.
As a beginner box, you want the core in there and a SWC box for the lines to follow
I don’t disagree, but a little more range variation than a MSR makes for more depth possible for the demos. Plus a few niche things like minelayer, or hacking, or CC. Always glad to see camo on both sides though. I really liked how Red Veil had some drop troops, some HI, some long range, some high burst, and then I also liked how it was expanded with Beyond Red Veil’s content variation. This set is what, 13/14 models with either a rifle or a shotgun? One sniper. No spitfire, no mk12, no HMG, no disposable guns, no viral, no emp. The thing I’m honestly happiest about for learning/teaching purposes is how you’ve got Dakini movement, and a big-ass mecha-frame, and Dakini inability to prone. So basically if 1 more unit on each side had had some kind of special long-medium range, or disposable weapon, that alone would have made me a lot happier.

So, in the course of the video I’ve gone from “I could do with the Aleph, but buying a 2 player set for them would be overkill.” to “I don’t care if it’s overkill! I need those models!” to “ARRG! GIMME THE ASUNA!! AND DART!!!”

For me the Dakini were the winners for the best sculpts on the Aleph side till I saw this vid. The Yadu is incredible when you get to examine it all over. The previous still shots of it really don’t do it justice.

i adore the vedic theme for the post human vibe, it just fits so well. beautiful sculpts across the board yet again.
Not sure I’ll ever put the effort in to learn how to play this game, but I got Op. Ice Storm and Red Veil for the minis… And I can see myself getting this too!
@angelicdespot it is not too bad to learn, take your time and play the starter missions, once that core set of rules are down the rest can be added in due time

Haven’t had a lot of interest in Aleph or Ariadna before, but those are some nice models. Glad to see those new Dakinis. And The Ratnik is nice too.

These are super cool as always but I wish these boxes would have a sligthly different terrain. Then again this probably cuts the costs.
This is pretty cool, I wish they would include two of the exclusive minis so I can split the box with a friend no problem, or go back to having one exclusive per side. Still going to get it anyways, pretty excited.

What a well balanced box with two very different sectorials…the only thing they have in common is how deadly and beautiful they are. Extremely well done! More nagas please.
For me these are the pinnacle of two player starter boxes, enough miniatures to show the range of the game, a great mission tutorial progress to learn the basics and costed to expand to a full 300points easily.
These factions are not the ones for me though, but glad to see overtime all factions slowly getting a started pack like this.

I love the the Bulky tech of the Ratnik.
I’m liking the look of this ? , though I question the use of Sectorial in the box, I wonder if a more “Vanilla” Aleph and Ariadna would have been better and a better starting point for someone new to each faction. ?
I do love that they are making 2 player starters for all their factions. I would love to see other companies do this.

The Russians look great as to be expected. And the Aleph…Why do they have such great minis but be such an EVIL faction? Oh well I feel my Nomads will be getting more Cyborg reinforcements against the EVIL AI. Its always fun fighting fire with fire.
The Tartary Army Corps TAK troops are to die for, those are some of the nicest Ariadna troops i
ve seen in a while. Dont know about wanting an army of the “Ratniks" @warzan (you gotta give your opponent a chance), id take a squad of 3 and throw in a few of the scouts. Let the scouts pin your opponents force, then send in the Ratniks to finish them of. That K9 unit is a must have, even if you dont want the rest of Operation Coldfront. Not really feeling it for the IAs, beautiful minis but not for me.5
