Gale Force Nine has expanded the Hextech 6mm Sci-Fi terrain range with more physical, pre-painted terrain in partnership with Thunderhead Studio. This time, the fighting is focused around some Industrial terrain, which could be integral to supplying power to your faction's military operations.

Kicking things off, we have the Industrial Fluidworks Processing Plant that sits at the heart of the complex you're building. This could be processing water, fuel and chemicals, sat in the heart of a military base or on the outskirts of a megacity.

As well as the main complex, you can also get your hands on a couple of different Storage Tanks. There are the Large versions (above) and the Small versions (below). With pipelines sprawling across your battlefields, this seems like a key piece of infrastructure that you need to defend against enemy attack.

Each of the pre-painted sets comes with the main building but you also have the different connector pieces and pipes, which can help you configure your terrain in a variety of ways. I like the idea of making these different terrain elements destructible so you could blow up the battlefield and cause some chain reactions.

Talking of blowing things up, you should start training your guns on the Pressure Towers as I sense they are going to go boom spectacularly!

All of this terrain is available for you to get your hands on right now, ahead of a full release in December. The Hextech terrain collection is awesome and great for those who want to set up battlefields quickly.

The terrain should also work with games from 6mm through to 10mm in scale, so it covers a selection of Sci-Fi wargames out there on the market, from BattleTech through to Dropzone Commander and more.

What do you make of the new Hextech terrain?

"The terrain should also work with games from 6mm through to 10mm in scale..."
