Fans of Space Marine II might be happy that you'll be able to give your Ultramarines some extra bling soon with a new Upgrades Set on the way, plus a new themed Combat Patrol to use them with for your games of Warhammer 40,000.

Ultramarines Upgrade Set - Warhammer 40K

Ultramarines Upgrade Set // Warhammer 40,000

The Ultramarines Upgrade Set comes with a bunch of themed accessories and options which can be used to give your Space Marines the definitive Ultramarines look. Of course, this means loads of sculpted shoulder pads but you've also got a mixture of different heads and helmets, with the helmets being especially "Space Roman" in their branding. You also get a bunch of other accessories that suit the Ultramarines, like unique swords, crests, holsters and more.

This set allows you to add more Ultramarines flair to your Phobos, Tacticus and Gravis-armoured units with additional specific options for your Bladeguard Veterans, Aggressors and Terminators. I think there are some good head options and accessories in there for you to use when making Titus' allies in Space Marine II, Chairon and Gadriel.

Ultramarines Combat Patrol

As well as the upgrades, you will also be able to get your hands on an Ultramarines-themed Combat Patrol soon.

Led by Chief Librarian Tigurius, this Combat Patrol also introduces five regular Intercessors, five Reivers, three Aggressors and three Bladeguard Veterans. A versatile spread of Space Marines, if not one that you're likely to buy repeats of. This will come coupled with the upgrades that we saw above, so you can theme your Space Marines to match the Tigurius in style.

It feels like this might have been a missed opportunity for this to be a set that featured Titus leading the way to keep with the Space Marine II theme. Imagine if you'd come out of the video game and seen a full Combat Patrol led by Lieutenant Titus that you could immediately pick up and play games with?

What do you think?

"It feels like this might have been a missed opportunity for this to be a set that featured Titus leading the way..."
