they are pretty damn cool
Some nice looking tanks.
nice
One lovely thing about the hardware of the former Soviet Union from the hobbyists point of view is the fact that it shows up in various conflicts around the world. Those lovely T-54 and PT-76 kits can see action in variety of different theaters and scenarios.
Me want some of these
Very nice, Can see a lot of the BMP 1 in this one.
I guess the pavn couldn’t have just normal names for units
I did not hear “ship these out”, I don’t know if I was distracted or my brain was playing tricks on me.
is there any american tank that could match up to these?
The M48 Patton was a pretty impressive tank imo
The pavn would be one sweet army to win. A mate of min will bring the book on thursday so i can browse thru it.
We’re only just starting out with FoW at the club, but now I’m getting more and more intrigued by the Vietnam setting. Hamburger Hill anyone? 😉
You guys really enjoy creating these videos. I hardly have time to get any work done between updates.
Awesome tanks, want to play charlie now
Those tanks looks great and i love that you get the magnets for the turrets in the box to. Do all the tank boxed sets have the magnets?
All the recent ones have magnets, yes 🙂
Some good looking kit.
better then de sherman DD tank.
Very nice tank and the sculpture.
Crazy Tanks
You’d have to make a swampy terrain board for these guys. They would then be incredible.
For some reason when i think vietnam I think infantry, helecopters and planes droping bombs, but I never think tanks. Don’t know why.
Same, I never think of tanks. Wonder if my impression of Vietnam is wrong or if Battlefront is putting their focus in the wrong place to shift more sales.
great minis as usual
What a interesting little tank
Very nice models.
Who said charlie dont surf? Well i think he was wrong, with these beauties i would go surfing 😉
I like the Idea to field an Ironclad battalion.
”Ironclad Company” now that’s a proper name for a tank.
And again more resin! Don’t get me wrong. Its a great looking kit. Very good sculpturing with amazing detail. I just don’t like resin. Waiting for the Patton unboxing (I know its probably also gonna be resin).
While I prefer plastic to resin, I like resin better than metal. These are nice tanks though.
Amphibious tanks, what more could you want.
3rd phase Vietnamese army anyone? 😛 time to give those capitalist pigs their just deserts eh comrades?! haha
Cool looking tanks and 27 on the battle field :/
Top little tanks there
I comment on most things so this shouldn’t be too much of a trial. 🙂
Never really thought much before about PAVN armour. This has been informative.Adds a whole new dimension to Vietnam wargaming.
I know its the same comment, but I am currently running the Internet through my and none of the videos want to load!!
Hmm, they are great looking Models, but I’m not sure how I feel about Wargaming in a realistic setting.
Still, Maybe I can Convert them into something 🙂
Brilliant models, but a very ‘meh’ tank for me. This is just based on looks alone 🙂
i though that the VC only had bicycles!!!!
I might have to go with PAVN when I start.
Russian Tanks. 1000s of them.
Neat stuff.
Nice !
Such cool tanks
I’ve actually been inside one of them… I’m rarely impressed with Soviet tanks, but this one was relatively spacious (though the ammo racks were removed)
Technically it’s not a tank, it’s a Recce vehicle… The amphibious aspect of this vehicle is secondary to its recce aspect…. The Soviets designed many of their lighter armoured vehicles to be amphibious in recognition of the numerous water features they had to cross in good old Russia…. pretty handy for Recce vehicles not to have to rely on bridges….. 😉
So in the movie Platoon, which Sergeant did you most identify with?
Those are pretty epic
I am surprised at how many players are interested in armies that are not US airmobile cavalry.
Cool tank, bro.
Nice to see new tanks from Battlefront.
Well done for remembering what they are called Warren! lol
Plastic modellers of a certain age will know that the designation PK-76 means that these tanks were actually made by Matchbox (Lesney Ltd) and NOT in the Soviet Union as stated 😉
good to hear some really enthusiastic developers!
I can’t paint. I do so with a roller. Having 27 tanks that could be sprayed from a foot away, then washed with a bucket of ink, then dry brushed with my standard brush size (6″ wallpaper) and left to dry before fielding 27 at once would be jolly pleasant.
I did like the fellow discussing that entire armoured companies were a bit daft – they are, that’s what Jeeps with machine guns are for. If it hasn’t got an engine I’m not interested in it!
You might want Jeeps with recoilless guns mounted on em then! lol
Saw some in one of the videos. Think it was All Around the Watchtower.
Oh dear you made me watch it again to check. What a chore! lol
Yup 0:25
not jeeps, those little buggy things, but am sure have seen jeeps with them too
It’s a bigass tank.
Says it all really 😉
Nice, we need John back to paint some up!
This is why PAVN will be my first Nam army….. 🙂
Sweet models.
thats nice – how much detail and thought the guys put into the convenience of their kits.
Nice stuff. Definitely interested in FoW.
Just one of the fantastic models thats available for FOW Vietnam. The T-54 is fantastic and the Centurion just gorgeous. Have M-48, Sheridan and M113 myself and they are great models, come with magnets, crew and passengers and with a buckload of stowage and decals. Don’t forget the helicopters, Cobro is just sexy!
FOW really outdid themselves with quality here.
LOL guys, meant Cobra, not Cobro. Although mayme this chopper was piloted by a
co-‘bro’ ther 😀
Models (and the actual tanks, admittedly) are meh. Good to see it covered, anyway, but: Where’s the Poor Bloody Infantry? Please give them some love, for they were the key element of this conflict – on both sides.
nice unboxing it is nice to see the painted version to in the unboxing
I would like to see how romains paints this…
b
F
Forrest gump would have been a much different movie if one of those nicked his arse
Comment of the day right there lol!
Theyre ‘nice’. Though I think they come nowhere near the awesomeness of the other Nam tanks.
Ironclad, huh? Careful, GW might be on Battlefront’s back soon. 😉
nice tanks
tanks, tanks everywhere and not a chopper to see:(
It’s great that you had one painted up for the unboxing. Just by looking at the angles of the chassis you ca see it was designed to be amphibious.
Thank you again BoW!
random comment to win stuff
Nice!
Never really considered 15mm before, just always been playing 28mm games, but the detail is great
K-3
Just had a thought. Is it any relation to Sarah Jane’s K-9?
This tank saw action against Americans so if you are looking for PAVN armor but only want what was historically used when the US was in-country, this is your unit.
I do like the tanks!
Nice! Those look great!
I have 46 of these. My friend who plays Americans face was priceless last night when I put them all on the table in 1500 points. I don’t think he will ever leave his Patton’s at home again.
Ironclad for the win.
Too bad these things weren’t made of iron if I remember correctly you got them burning and look out
Damned cool name for some brilliant tanks.
great kit review
Best theme week yet guys. Thoroughly enjoyed it all. Especially nice touch with the music. And i liked the multiple unboxings spread over the week.
I’m going on a copy+paste mission now to maybe win an army. If not, i’ll be buying one anyway.
Really love the Cold War tanks
Is it me of does that look like an imperial guard chimera?
Ben
The hits just keep on a’ comin.
