The problem with this video and all the other such videos across the web, is that it shows assembled buildings being painted. Kinda distant from the “build it as you need it” ability promoted for Battlezone. You need assembled structures to take advantage of the pre-shading with lighter paints to achieve shadowing, which means that, if you’ve glued them together, that you’re stuck with those shapes and must store them as they are.
I adopted the method on the Army Painter website to the panels still on the sprues. It may not give accurate shadows or highlights, but it makes handling the panels a lot easier and allows me to build whatever I want and store it easier after I’ve clipped them off the sprues and touched up, of course.
I still want to see a video on painting Enforcers from Mantic. Yes, I can go the Space Marine route (been there, done that), but there’s something about the white and black scheme that appeals to me and I haven’t found another after trying many that does. However, layering multiple players of thinned white paint also does not appeal to me, considering that I’m now collected a small army of Enforcers with all the new ones to come (as well as whatever shows up in the upcoming Kickstarter).
So, keep the painting videos coming, please.
